After weeks of speculation, it has been revealed that WrestleMania 41 is heading to Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will take place later in April than usual but will remain spread out over two days, taking over Allegiant Stadium on April 19 and 20.
Amidst WWE’s recent triumphs with premium live events overseas, WWE President Nick Khan has made a bold declaration. He asserts that the ‘big five’ events, a prestigious group that includes Money in the Bank, SummerSlam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, and of course, WrestleMania, will continue to be exclusive to North America.
The announcement about WrestleMania was made during Saturday’s NBC broadcast of the Kentucky Derby pre-show. Former World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and Women’s World Champion Becky Lynch were seen at the event before the broadcast showed a video announcement narrated by WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque.
Minnesota was rumored to be the sight of WrestleMania 41 but after the success of the kick-off press conference before the Super Bowl in Las Vegas this year, plans for the preferred location changed.
