The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4: Production Has Kicked into Gear!

Production for Season 4 of Netflix’s legal drama “The Lincoln Lawyer” has officially commenced in Los Angeles. The series, starring Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as defense attorney Mickey Haller, continues to captivate audiences with its adaptation of Michael Connelly’s novels.

Season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer may have left everything up in the air in its shocking finale — but you can breathe a sigh of relief, because Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) isn’t the kind of guy to leave you hanging on that cliff forever.

After the bloodbath of Season 3, there’s very little we can assume about Season 4, but we do know that it will consist of 10 episodes and be based on the sixth book in Connelly’s Lincoln Lawyer series, The Law of Innocence.

Hopefully, the new season will answer a lot of questions. What consequences will the deaths of key characters have? And — now that the police have popped open the trunk of the Lincoln — what will happen to Mickey?

“Well, the biggest cliff-hanger of all is ‘What is going to happen to Mickey?’ and that one certainly plays out across the whole season in the form of his trial,” co-executive producer and co-showrunner Ted Humphrey tells Tudum from the Season 4 set. “But in the first episode you’ll understand at least the broad strokes of what specifically has happened and what charges — and adversaries — Mickey is facing. This is going to be the biggest and most personal challenge Mickey has ever faced, and also the biggest roller coaster we’ve yet taken our audience on. And of course, our other characters will be dealing not only with Mickey’s case but with a slew of challenges they’re facing as well. As a director, I was so happy with how the third season finale turned out, and I am also directing the opener of Season 4 so it feels like we are picking up right where we left off, which is really fun for me and also creatively very satisfying.”

Humphrey emphasizes that this is going to be the “most personal case” Mickey has ever handled since he’s the client this time. “All the advice he’s given clients over the years, now he has to give himself — and he realizes how hollow some of it sounds when you’re the one it’s bouncing off of,” says the co-showrunner who is directing the first two episodes of Season 4. “He’s got to deal with how this impacts not just him but also his family and loved ones, not to mention his business! But don’t worry — he’s going to have help from some of the people our audience loves the most, as well as some familiar faces who will be cropping up along the way — some helpfully… some perhaps not so helpfully, and a few new ones as well.”

Returning cast members include Becki Newton as Lorna Crane, Jazz Raycole as Izzy Letts, Angus Sampson as Cisco Wojciechowski, and Neve Campbell as Maggie McPherson. Joining the ensemble is Constance Zimmer, portraying prosecutor Dana Berg, known for her relentless pursuit of justice.

While an official release date has not been announced, fans can anticipate another season filled with legal intrigue and personal drama. Previous seasons of “The Lincoln Lawyer” are currently available for streaming on Netflix.
