Founding Butcher Babies Vocalist Carla Harvey Releases ‘Sick Ones’ Music Video

Carla Harvey, co-founder of the metal band Butcher Babies, has released the music video for her debut single “Sick Ones” with her new project, The Violent Hour. The video premiered on April 25, 2025, marking a significant step in Harvey’s post-Butcher Babies career.

Directed by Vicente Cordero of Industrial Films, the video showcases Harvey embodying multiple personas, each representing facets of inner turmoil and resilience. This visual approach aligns with the song’s theme of confronting and shedding toxic relationships.

“Sick Ones” was co-written by Harvey and her fiancé, Charlie Benante of Anthrax and Pantera, who also played all instruments on the track. The song features a guitar solo by John 5, known for his work with Mötley Crüe and Rob Zombie. Harvey describes the track as a “rock ‘n’ roll anthem about cutting the toxic people out of your life,” inspired by a phrase she noted in a journal in 1999: “Cut the Sick Ones Loose” .

The Violent Hour’s debut single is available on major streaming platforms via Megaforce Records. The project reflects Harvey’s evolution as an artist, blending her experiences in music, literature, and mortuary science into a unique creative vision.
