Neon Sets Home Entertainment Release For Osgood Perkin’s Horror Trip ‘The Monkey’

Award-winning film studio NEON announced today that audiences will soon be able to enjoy Osgood Perkins’ latest trip, THE MONKEY, at home. The film will be available on all digital platforms to own or rent starting April 4th, and on 4K Ultra HD/Blu-Ray Combo, Blu-Ray, and DVD starting June 24th.

Dubbed “the most outrageous horror movie of the year,” THE MONKEY is adapted from the Stephen King short story and produced by James Wan (THE CONJURING, SAW). When twin brothers find a mysterious wind-up monkey, a series of outrageous deaths tear their family apart. Twenty-five years later, the monkey begins a new killing spree forcing the estranged brothers to confront the cursed toy.

The film marks NEON’s second collaboration with Perkins, and the studio’s second-largest theatrical opening, trailing only Perkins’ previous film LONGLEGS. To date, THE MONKEY has grossed over $39 million at the U.S. box office, and over $60 million globally, making it the studio’s third highest-grossing film of all time.
