Netflix Sets Premiere Date For Limited Series “Sirens” Starring Julianne Moore

Netflix is set to premiere its highly anticipated limited series, Sirens, on May 22, 2025. This dark comedy, created by Molly Smith Metzler (Maid), is inspired by her 2011 play Elemeno Pea and unfolds over a single, tension-filled weekend at an opulent beach estate.

A Tale of Power, Obsession, and Sisterhood

Sirens centers on Devon DeWitt (Meghann Fahy), who becomes alarmed by her younger sister Simone’s (Milly Alcock) intense admiration for her enigmatic boss, Michaela Kell (Julianne Moore). Michaela, a philanthropist and animal activist, exerts a cult-like influence over Simone, prompting Devon to intervene. However, as Devon delves deeper, she discovers the complexities of Michaela’s world, where power and privilege intertwine in unsettling ways.

The series is described as an “incisive, sexy, and darkly funny exploration of women, power, and class,” blending elements of psychological tension with dark humor.

A Stellar Ensemble Cast

Sirens boasts an impressive cast:

  • Julianne Moore as Michaela Kell, the charismatic and controlling boss.

  • Meghann Fahy as Devon DeWitt, the protective older sister.

  • Milly Alcock as Simone DeWitt, the impressionable younger sister.

  • Kevin Bacon as Peter Kell, Michaela’s husband.

  • Glenn Howerton, Felix Solis, and Bill Camp in supporting roles.

The series is executive produced by Metzler, Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley, and Dani Gorin under the LuckyChap banner, with Nicole Kassell (Watchmen) directing the first two episodes.
