Greta Van Fleet, the Grammy-winning rockers from Michigan, delivered a stunning performance at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA, as part of their Starcatcher World Tour. The quartet, composed of brothers Josh, Jake and Sam Kiszka, and drummer Danny Wagner, played a mix of songs from their albums, “From The Fires”, “Anthem of the Peaceful Army”, “The Battle at Garden’s Gate”, as well as new material from their latest album release “Starcatcher”.
The band opened with “The Falling Sky”, a soaring anthem that showcased Josh’s powerful vocals and Jake’s virtuosic guitar skills. The crowd was instantly captivated by the band’s energy and charisma, as they sang along to every word. The setlist continued with fan favorites such as “The Indigo Streak”, “Meeting The Master”, “Highway Tune” “Fate Of The Fateful”, “Black Smoke Rising” and “The Archer”, as well as some surprises like “Tears Of Rain” which was performed acoustically from the B-stage in the rear of the arena. The crowd went absolutely wild as this show marks the first time the song has been performed live.
What we adore about seeing Greta Van Fleet live is that the incredible talent of each band member is fully showcased throughout the entire set. There were many searing guitar solos from both Jake and Sam, as well as a killer drum solo from Danny. These boys can shred with the best of them! The entire band feeds off one another’s energy and raw talent. It is truly a sight to behold!
The highlight of the night was the epic finale, “Light Of My Love” and “Farewell For Now”, as Josh distributed white roses to the crowd. He then thanked the fans for their support and said that they were honored to play in the city of brotherly love. The band then took a bow and left the stage, amid thunderous applause and cheers.
Greta Van Fleet proved once again that they are one of the most exciting and talented bands in the rock scene today. Their concert was a memorable experience for anyone who loves music and appreciates live performance. The Starcatcher World Tour is not to be missed by any rock fan.
