This December “The Iron Claw Movie” will be released to theaters, and will spotlight one of the biggest family names in professional wrestling. The movie will follow the true story of the inseparable Von Erich brothers, who made history in the intensely competitive world of professional wrestling in the early 1980s. Through tragedy and triumph, under the shadow of their domineering father and coach, the brothers seek larger-than-life immortality on the biggest stage in sports.
The movie has an all-star cast including Zac Efron as Kevin Von Erich. Jeremy Allen White as Kerry Von Erich. Real-life wrestler, Maxwell Jacob Friedman wrestles in AEW as MJF. MJF will star as Lance Von Erich. Lily James as Pam Adkinson. Harris Dickinson as David Von Erich. The movie was written and directed by Sean Durkin who is best known for The Nest (2020) and Mary Last Seen (2010). The film had its world premiere in Dallas, Texas the same evening that the SAG-AFTRA strike ended. Many of the actors found out the news through journalists on the red carpet.
