Watch Pantera Perform “Floods” For the First Time Since 2001

The band kicked off the second leg of their reunion tour in Florida last night

Last night, Pantera kicked off the second leg of their renowned reunion tour at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida. They pulled out a deep cut – “Floods” – that hadn’t been played live since 2001. Check out the fan-filmed footage below.

On this new leg, Pantera are once again be joined by very special guests Lamb of God, which wraps up on February 27 at Centre Vidéotron in Québec City, QC.

“Looking forward to jamming with everybody,” said Pantera frontman Phil Anselmo at the time the tour was announced. “These shows mean a lot and we aim to kick ass! Love y’all!”

Pantera bassist Rex Brown adds, “We’re really excited to announce new dates in 2024. Looking forward to bringing the show to some cities we missed in 2023. Come jam!”

“Excited to announce that we’ll be joining Pantera for another stretch of shows,” Lamb of God said. “See you in February.”

Pantera kicked off their first full tour in over 20 years on July 28 at at The Pavilion at Star Lake, just outside of Pittsburgh. Revisit our review and live photos HERE. The band’s North American headlining tour with Lamb of God recently wrapped up on September 15 at Jiffy Lube Live in Virginia. Last fall, the band had featured slots at Louder Than Life in Kentucky and Aftershock in California. In November, Pantera finished their special guest run with Metallica in Detroit as part of their massive M72 World Tour.

This summer, Pantera have a featured slot at Download Festival in the UK alongside Avenged Sevenfold, Queens of the Stone Age, and more. It mark’s the band’s first UK appearance in over two decades. Pantera will also be supporting Metallica again next year on the second North American leg of their M72 Tour.

Pantera’s last studio effort was their 2000 watershed album Reinventing The Steel. The album landed at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. Many fans and critics maintain that the album is the band’s best overall piece of work. In October 2020, the album was re-mixed by producer Terry Date and re-released on CD, vinyl, and digital download to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

In 2001, Pantera’s classic lineup went on an indefinite hiatus and never reunited.

To date, the four-time GRAMMY® Award nominees have sold over 20 million records worldwide.

Lamb of God recently returned from their inaugural Headbanger’s Boat Cruise. The outing also featured Mastodon, Hatebreed, Testament, Shadows Fall, and many more. Next spring, they are set to perform at the second annual Sick New World festival in Las Vegas, Nevada alongside System of a Down, Slipknot, and more. Last October, Lamb of God released their acclaimed eleventh studio album Omens. Featuring the hit single “Nevermore,” the record debuted at No. 15 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums chart.
