The man behind Pennywise’s makeup could once again reprise the role. According to Deadline and various other media outlets, Bill Skarsgard could return to the town of Derry to terrorize more innocent victims. “Welcome to Derry” has been in various stages of production since the writer and actor struck last year.
“Welcome to Derry” is set in the world of King’s It universe. The series expands the vision established by filmmaker Andy Muschietti in the feature films, which amassed a combined $1.17 billion worldwide. The series stems from a story by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs based on King’s infamous 1980’s novel It. Andy Muschietti will direct four episodes of the nine-episode series.
“Welcome to Derry” will see the return of Skarsgård’s return to King’s streaming TV universe and a reunion with WBTV after he starred in the studio’s Hulu series Castle Rock. Bill Skarsgard is a busy guy and has a couple of movies coming out, including The Crow, Nosferatu, Locked , and Emperor.
The upcoming series will be streaming on Max.
