Actress and singer Annabella Avery “Bella” Thorne, known for Shake It Up (2010), The DUFF (2015), Blended (2014), and Midnight Sun (2018) stopped by SDCC to talk about her upcoming film. The film is called The Tower and also stars Jack Kilmer (Willow, Palo Alto) and Cam Gigandet (Twilight, The O.C.).
The movie follows a mysterious mermaid who has been trapped and forgotten for years in the water tower of a small Southern town. While talking to Cam Gigandet about their insight into the movie, he revealed that he portrays a cop who is a bully toward Billy, who Jack Kilmer portrays.
The film was written and directed by Adam Sigal who has directed directed “Chariot”, starring John Malkovich, Rosa Salazar and Thomas Mann. In 2022, he wrote and directed Nandor Fodor and the Talking Mongoose, starring Simon Pegg, Minnie Driver, Christopher Lloyd and Neil Gaiman.
When asked about a release date Sigal revealed that they were hoping for a release sometimes early next year.
