A24 has unveiled the teaser trailer for “Bring Her Back,” the latest horror film from Australian directors Danny and Michael Philippou, renowned for their 2022 hit “Talk to Me.” The film is slated for a theatrical release on May 30, 2025.
The teaser offers a glimpse into a chilling narrative centered around a brother and sister who discover a terrifying ritual at the secluded home of their new foster mother. The atmospheric footage is punctuated by unsettling imagery, including ominous stares and a disturbing prayer circle, all set to an eerie musical backdrop.
The ensemble cast features two-time Academy Award nominee Sally Hawkins, alongside Billy Barratt, Sora Wong, and Jonah Wren Phillips. The Philippou brothers directed the film from a screenplay co-written by Danny Philippou and Bill Hinzman, with Samantha Jennings and Kristina Ceyton serving as producers.
Following the success of “Talk to Me,” which grossed over $92 million on a $4.5 million budget, anticipation is high for “Bring Her Back.” The Philippou brothers’ decision to prioritize this project led them to step away from a planned “Street Fighter” adaptation, underscoring their commitment to delivering another compelling horror experience.
