(PCM) Disney’s latest action adventure Maleficent, starring Angelina Jolie, hits 2D and 3D theaters nationwide May 30.
Maleficent explores the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the classic Sleeping Beauty and the elements of her betrayal that ultimately turn her pure heart to stone.
Driven by revenge and a fierce desire to protect the moors over which she presides, Maleficent cruelly places an irrevocable curse upon the human king’s newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Aurora is caught in the middle of the seething conflict between the forest kingdom she has grown to love and the humankingdom that holds her legacy.
Maleficent realizes that Aurora may hold the key to peace in the land and is forced to take drastic actions that will change both worlds forever.
Starring alongside Angelina Jolie (Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Salt), and Ellie Fanning (Super 8, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) are Brenton Thwaites (Charge Over You, Oculus), Juno Temple (The Dark Knight Rises, Atonement), Sharlto Copley (District 9, Elysium), and Imelda Staunton (Vera Drake, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix).

Maleficent has a run time of 2 hours and 15 minutes and is rated PG for sequences of fantasy action and violence, including frightening images.
