(PCM) How’s that for irony! A Chicago author by the name of Bill Hillmann recently published a book called “How To Survive the Running Of The Bulls” last month, only to find himself gored by a bull during this past weeks bull run at Pamplona’s San Fermin festival in Spain.
Hillman survived the bull attack, however he was gored not once by twice! I am really questioning his survival advice here! The two gorings were both on his right thigh and he can consider himself lucky that there appears to be no nerve damage. His condition is listed as not serious.
Hillman has training as a runner, however it was a trip and fall that caused him to be gored by the bull during the festival. Sources claim that Hillman was gored by the largest of the black bulls who were running in the festival and weighed in a nearly 1,300 pounds.
The Running of The Bulls dates back to the early 13th century and in its’ recent history there have only been 14 deaths as a result of the dangerous practice.
