(PCM) Young couple by the name of Cor Pan and Neeltje Tol were travelling on Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 headed from Amsterdam when it was tragically shot down while flying over the Ukraine/Russian border.
As the couple were in the airport prior to boarding the doomed flight, Cor decided to snap quite the chilling photo and post a sarcastic joke on his Facebook page.
His photo was an image of the plane, flight MH17, with the caption “Should it disappear, this is what it looks like”. While his comment was definitely made in jest, in regards to the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, it is now even more eerie due to the circumstance that unfolded with flight MH17.
A few short hours after the post, the plane was tragically shot down killing all 295 passengers and 15 crew members on board.
Our thoughts and prayers are certainly with the family and friends of all of the victim’s of this senseless tragedy.
