(PCM) Leading up to its nationwide and much hyped Valentine’s Day release, Focus Features has released a new poster for Fifty Shades of Grey, the film adaption of E.L. James’ best-selling erotic romance novel.
The new poster, following the novel’s overall theme of grey, features Dakota Johnson from the nose down, biting her lip in grayscale with the line “Mr. Grey will see you now” hovering at her neck.
Gaining viral popularity after sparking controversy around its treatment of BDSM, its origins as an erotic Twilight fan-fiction, and its literary and grammatical content, Fifty Shades of Grey has sold over 100 million copies worldwide.
The new poster comes ahead of the new trailer, which premieres during ABC’s Thursday night episode of Scandal. FIFTY SHADES OF GREY is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and produced by Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti alongside E L James, the creator of the series. The screenplay for the film is by Kelly Marcel.
