Nickelback Prove They’re Rockstars on Feed The Machine Tour in New Jersey

Nickelback brought their Feed The Machine Tour into Camden, New Jersey’s BB&T Pavilion with special guests Daughtry and Shaman’s Harvest. Currently out in support of their latest album Feed The Machine, which debuted on Billboard’s Top 200 at #5. In addition, the album was also #4 on the Top Current Albums chart, #2 on the US Rock and Independent Albums chart, and #1 on the Hard Rock chart. Personally, I think that this album is some of their heaviest and best material yet. I am sure many will disagree but I have heard a lot of great feedback on this album so since it’s release.

The 21-song setlist which was lacking new material as they only played two songs from their latest album, Feed The Machine which is what this tour is in support of, but very heavy on their hits. Despite the rumors of how awful Nickelback is, They were surprisingly excellent and put on an extraordinary live show and one that you need to witness at least once in your life. Frontman Chad Kroeger sounding flawless and at times better then the songs recorded on their albums, not to mention how solid the band sounds altogether. Kroeger, guitarist Ryan Peake, bassist Mike Kroeger and drummer Daniel Adair have a unique stage presence together rarely interacting with each other with the exception of the bands introductions from frontman Kroeger but still grasping the crowds attention enough to keep them watching. Their stage production was unique and kind of interesting as it appeared to have some sort of machinery on the stage which acted as the drum riser, lots of lighting and LCD screens filling the remaining stage space. The production lacked but pleased the crowd and fit their set perfectly during each song having it’s own video or slideshow on the LCD screen filling the background of the stage and lights perfectly matching the beats of each song. Although this show in particular didn’t appear to sell very well as there were many of empty seats, Nickelback performed as if it was a sold out show in which they would have been very deserving of. Make sure if Nickelback makes their way into your city you get out and check out the tour as it is one you wouldn’t want to miss.
