Warning : Potential Spoilers Ahead.
Girls take the lead in The Flash this week, as they celebrate their bachelorette party in “Girls Night Out”. What makes this episode stand out is that it comfortably carries the momentum from the excellent “Elongated Journey Into the Night”. The girl’s gang include Iris, Cecile, Caitlin, and Felicity (crossing over) had a rough night which includes a drug generating meta, a crime boss who carry a bucket of bolts, and a snake-eyed henchman.
First things first, the writers of season 4 are in excellent form, as they continue to deliver top-notch quality stuff. One of the masterstrokes played by them is placing Iris in the driver seat throughout the episode. Well supported by Felicity Smoak, and Caitlin’s Frosty mode, she delivers a perfect knockout. Barry’s comical act in the strip club, by getting drunk and yelling about his secret identity is the icing on the cake.
1. The camaraderie between all four women.
2. Ralph Dibny’s antics.
3. Felicity Smoak.
4. References to Incredible Hulk.
Disliked :
1. Thinker,
2. The Subplot of Caitlin Snow/ Killer Frost.
After a long time, “Girls Night Out” provides the required change of pace for the Flash. Moments like drunk pep talk between Barry and Joe about kids, Elongated Man testing his abilities and the ladies trying to solve the case on their own proved to be stand out moments of this weeks episode. The inconsistent subplot of Killer Frost and Thinker’s uninspiring appearance are the only negative points in this otherwise enjoyable episode. It should be very interesting to see what the showrunners have in their bag for the coming episodes, especially the epic crossover event of the Arrowverse.
