Disney just surprised Oscars viewers with a new ‘The Lion King‘ Poster, for The Lion King remake courtesy of Jon Favreau during this Oscars tonight followed by a new TV spot moments later via a commercial.
‘The Lion King’ is one of Disney’s most highly-anticipated film releasing later this year, which is the remake of the beloved 1994 animated film into the live-action film being released in July 2019. The film is directed by Jon Favreau, who also helmed the visually-incredible 2016 Disney live-action remake The Jungle Book.
Similar to the first trailer, this trailer showcased the live-action take on the iconic scene where Rafiki raises Simba over Pride Rock as well as other scenes across the African Savannah where the film is set.
‘The Lion King’ hits the theaters in the United States on July 19th, 2019.
