Burger King will be serving up some upside-down Whoppers to celebrate ‘Stranger Things’ in 1980’s-era packaging in a partnership with Coca-Cola and Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things.’
In the partnership, the burger chain announced that they will be selling an upside-down Whopper burger, which is literally just their signature Whopper sandwich served with the bottom of the bun on the top of the burger sandwich and the top of the bun on the bottom of the sandwich. A normal Whopper but flipped upside-down to celebrate ‘Stranger Things.’
In Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things’ the Upside-Down is an alternative universe in ‘Stranger Things,’ which is a series show set in the 1980’s that is centered around the live of four young boys and their friends. The new season of ‘Stranger Things’ premieres on the streaming giant, Netflix, on July 4th, 2019.
The special upside-down Whopper burger will be start being sold June 21st at select Burger King restaurants in several US cities including Philadelphia, Miami, Houston, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, New York, San Fransisco and Los Angeles. Also, within those restaurants in those select cities, they will have limited-edition Ketchup packets and t-shirts inspired by ‘Stranger Things.’ The Ketchup packets have the Burger King logo upside down and rebranded as Stranger King.
