Amazon Studios will release HONEY BOY in theaters on November 8th, 2019

Director Alma Har’el and screenwriter Shia LaBeouf’s soon to be released film, HONEY BOY, is launching the HONEY BOY podcast today on all podcast platforms.

HONEY BOY is equal parts autobiography, exorcism, and finely honed storytelling. This compelling film from a screenplay by Shia LaBeouf, based on his own experiences, award-winning filmmaker Alma Har’el brings to life a young actor’s stormy childhood and early adult years as he struggles to reconcile with his father through cinema and dreams. Fictionalizing his childhood ascent to stardom, and subsequent adult crash-landing into rehab and recovery. The film is released by Amazon Studios and will be in theaters on November 8th. Starring Noah Jupe, Shia LaBeouf, Lucas Hedges, and Byron Bowers.

This unscripted podcast series is a powerful behind the scenes look at the process and journey of bringing the film to life and is hosted by Har’el and guest moderators, filmmaker David Lowery and Vanessa Kirby. The series features in-depth discussions with LaBeouf and other cast members Noah Jupe, Lucas Hedges, and Byron Bowers. Each episode explores themes inherent to the film that finds the cast and guests diving deep into their personal histories. The Honey Boy podcast is more than just a journey inside the movie, but an open door towards much-needed conversations about healing, the effects of toxic masculinity and telling stories from fresh perspectives.
