Michel de Nostredame (December 14 1503 – 2 July 1566) is usually Latinized to Nostradamus, was a French mystic who published collections of prophecies that have since become famous worldwide. He is best known for his book Les Propheties (The Prophecies), the first edition of which appeared in 1555. For example, Nostradamus did NOT write (regarding 9/11):
In the City of God there will be a great thunder,
Two brothers torn apart by Chaos, while the fortress endures,
The great leader will succumb,
The third big war will begin when the big city is burning.
