New Avengers: Age of Ultron Trailer To Premiere Monday, Jan. 12

Avengers1(PCM) The second installment in Marvel Studios Avengers series, Avengers: Age of Ultron, is still five months out from its May 1, 2015 release, but the hype has been steadily building since audiences first saw Joss Whedon’s post-credit scenes at The Avengers‘ L.A. premiere in April of 2012.

After the first official trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron leaked a few days before it was scheduled to air during an episode of Marvels’ Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel is playing it safe and announced the premiere of the next official Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer on ESPN yesterday afternoon.

New Trailer for Disney’s “Cinderella”

Cinderella(PCM) It’s been sixty-five years since audiences were first delighted by an animated film telling the classic European folk tale of Cinderella.

Now, we’re just 3 months out from the release of Disney’s live action Cinderella, opening in theaters nationwide March 13, 2015, and Disney has graced us with a new trailer to hold us over.

Justin Lin’s Star Trek 3 Set for July 8, 2016 Release

StarTrek3(PCM) A day after news broke that four time Fast and Furious director Justin Lin would be helming the 13th Star Trek film, more widely known as the third installment in the recent Chris Pine-reboot of the franchise, we now have a release date for Star Trek 3!

Slated for a July 8, 2016 release, Star Trek 3 not only departs from Star Trek and Star Trek: Into Darkness director J.J. Abrams but also from the reboot’s somewhat earth-centric setting. According to series writer Roberto Orci, Star Trek 3 will delve into deep space.

Stars Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto, Anton Yelchin, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, and John Cho are all speculated to return to the latest installment and reprise their roles, though there has yet to be a confirmation.

Currently, Star Trek 3 is attached to a script by Roberto Orci, Patrick McKay, and J.D. Payne.

“The Interview” Will Open in Select Theaters on Christmas After All!

TheInterview(PCM) Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s comedy The Interview has seen a mountain of controversy since the infamous SONY hack that damaged the reputations of some of the entertainment industry’s biggest players.

The controversy and scandal came to a head after the hackers behind the attack, calling themselves the “Guardians of Peace” and speculated as having ties to North Korea, threatened 9/11 style terrorist attacks on American theaters screening The Interview on its opening day, Christmas.

It only took a few hours for major theater chains to pull the film. Supporting the theaters, SONY issued a statement saying that they stood by the theaters’ decisions but were not going to officially pull The Interview from all theaters.

Will Ferrell Goes Hard With Kevin Hart in First Trailer for “Get Hard”

GetHArd(PCM) Warner Bros. Pictures released the first trailer for Etan Cohen’s comedy starring Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell, Get Hard, opening in theaters next year on March 27, 2015.

Get Hard is written and directed by Etan Cohen (Idiocracy, Tropic Thunder) from a screenplay by Jay Martel & Ian Roberts (Key & Peele) from the story by Adam McKay (Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Step Brothers) and Jay Martel & Ian Roberts.

Sony Has Officially Pulled “The Interview”

The-Interview1(PCM) After weeks of controversy, including one of the largest and most damaging entertainment industry hacks, Sony has officially announced their decision to cancel the December 25th release of director Evan Goldberg’s comedy about an assassination plot against Kim Jong-un, The Interview, starring Seth Rogen and James Franco.

This comes on the heels of a threatening message from the hacker group, the Guardians of Peace. The threat promised 9/11 style attacks on theaters that screened The Interview on Christmas day, causing the majority of theaters chains to cancel scheduled screenings of the film.

Fox News confirmed that the FBI suggested on Thursday morning that North Korea has ties to the hacker group, confirming many people’s’ suspicion that the East Asian country is behind the terroristic threat issued on Tuesday.

Theater Chains Pulling “The Interview” After Latest Threat

TheInterview(PCM) After the latest threat from the Guardians of Peace, the hackers behind Sony’s scandalous hacking, several theater chains have decided to pull Seth Rogen and James Franco’s The Interview.

Carmike Cinemas announced on Tuesday that they would not be screening the comedy about an assassination attempt on the leader of North Korea in any of its 238 theaters across 41 states.

Several hours later, Landmark Theaters announced the cancellation of the New York City premiere of The Interview, scheduled for Thursday night in Manhattan at Landmark’s Sunshine Cinema.

The cancellations are due to the Guardians of Peace’s latest threat that, according to Variety, promises a 9/11 style attack on theaters that screen The Interview on the film’s release day, December 25th.

This hasn’t deterred some movie-goers though; many are brushing the threats off and planning on seeing The Interview and attending theaters on Christmas.

Cinderella(PCM) Disney released a new international trailer for their latest adaptation of Cinderella, starring Lily James in the titular role, and while the new trailer doesn’t reveal anything new, it’s worth a watch just for Cate Blanchett’s wickedness as the Evil Stepmother alone.

Animated Fantasy Adventure “Song of the Sea” Opens in Select Theaters Dec. 19
