New Trailer for “Blackhat” Starring Chris Hemsworth

Blackhat(PCM) Legendary and Universal Pictures released a new trailer for Blackhat, a thriller/action film starring Chris Hemsworth and helmed by Academy Award-nominated director Michael Mann.

Opening in theaters nationwide January 16, 2015, Blackhat plays on a fear that plagues our increasingly technology dependent society as a whole; that the downside of our internet-connected world is the potential for terrorists to hack into world defense systems and wreak havoc worldwide.

Chris Hemsworth plays Nicholas Hathaway, a genius coder turned hacker serving out a 15 year sentence recruited by a government agency to take out a cyber criminal with terrible plans.

“Black hat” is the term applied to a hacker who hacks with malicious intent, destroying or stealing data and exploiting vulnerabilities in systems.

Marvel Reveals Official Synopsis for “Ant-Man” Starring Paul Rudd

Ant-Man(PCM) Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Studios released the official synopsis and more character details for Peyton Reed’s Ant-Man, starring Paul Rudd and opening in 2D/3D theaters nationwide July 17, 2015.

Along with the official synopsis came a reveal of the roles of many of the ensemble cast, including Judy Greer as Maggie, Bobby Cannavale as Paxton, Tip “Ti” Harris as Dave, Michael Peña as Luis, Wood Harris as Gale, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, and Jordi Mollà as Castillo.

Action Abounds in the New Trailer for “The Divergent Series: Insurgent”

Insurgent2(PCM) Summit Entertainment released a new official trailer for The Divergent Series: Insurgent and its pretty much a full two minutes of Shailene Woodley dodging bullets, leaping onto burning flying houses, and fighting the oppressive powers that be.

The trailer also comes with a new poster, featuring a view from below of a mirrored image of Shailene Woodley and Theo James bursting out of shattering glass windows, guns raised as though they are being pursued.

New “Jupiter Ascending” Extended TV Spot

Jupiter_Ascending_2(PCM) Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow released a new extended TV spot for the Wachowski Brothers’ Jupiter Ascending, opening in 2D/3D/IMAX 3D theaters nationwide starting February 6, 2015 on the official Warner Bros. UK Youtube channel today.

Their first original trilogy and screenplay since The Matrix, the Wachowski Brothers’ Jupiter Ascending has seen a few delays in its release date; the film was originally slated for a July 25, 2014 release then was pushed up one week to July 18, 2014.

Several months later, Jupiter Ascending‘s release date was pushed back to February 6, 2015, to accommodate additional time needed to finish over 2,000 special effects shots that most likely went in to creating what star Douglas Booth referred to as the Star Wars/The Matrix-esque universe in which the film takes place.

InsideOut(PCM) Disney•Pixar released the first official trailer for veteran Pixar crew Pete Docter and Ronaldo Del Carmen’s animated feature, Inside Out.

The trailer, uploaded to the Disney UK account on December 10, has already gained over 2.3 million views and is 2 minutes and 10 seconds of classic relatable Pixar hilarity.

The trailer enters into the modest dining room of a small family; a mother a father, and their oh-so-angsty tween daughter. As an argument mounts between father and daughter, we’re treated to an inside look at both of their subconsciousnesses and the little beings in charge of controlling them.

Pixar’s “Finding Dory” Releases Plot and Setting Details

FindingDory(PCM) When Pixar released Finding Nemo in 2003, the animated feature about an anxious clownfish, Marlin, on the hunt to find his son, Nemo, with the help with an endearingly forgetful fish, Dory, became an instant classic.

When news broke in 2012 that a sequel to Finding Nemo was in the works, the excitement was palpable. Then in 2013, Disney announced that the sequel would be titled Finding Dory and would star returning stars Albert Brooks as Marlin and Ellen Degeneres as Dory.

The 2015 Golden Globe Nominations!

GoldenGlobe(PCM) The nominations for the 2015 Golden Globe Awards were announced early Thursday morning at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, containing few surprises but delighting fans with the announcement that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler would be teaming up yet again to host the 72nd Golden Globe Awards.

This will be the third and supposedly last time that the two will host the event, airing live on NBC on Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. P.S.T. and 8-11 p.m. E.S.T.

The nominations consist of 25 categories; 14 for film and 11 for TV. Richard Linklater’s decade-spanning Boyhood received five nominations including Best Motion Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actress and Best Supporting Actor. Morten Tyldum’s The Imitation Game starring Benedict Cumberbatch also received five nominations.

New “Paranoia” Trailer for Paul Thomas Anderson’s ‘Inherent Vice’

InherentVice(PCM) Warner Bros. Pictures’ released the new “Paranoia” trailer for Paul Thomas Anderson’s drama starring Joaquin Phoenix, Inherent Vice, today.

The new trailer has more of a comical tone than one would expect from a film described as a drama but, as everyone knows, you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.

Along with the trailer came a link that allows you to RSVP to December 13th advanced screenings of Inherent Vice happening in major cities across the U.S. and in Canada.

Sara Colangelo’s Drama “Little Accidents” Opens January 16, 2015

LittleAccidents(PCM) Written, directed, and based on her award-winning short film of the same name, Sara Colangelo’s heavy drama Little Accidents will open in select theaters starting January 16, 2015 after receiving praise at this year’s festival run.

Little Accidents, starring Josh Lucas, Chloë Sevigny, Elizabeth Banks, Boyd Holbrook, Jacob Lofland, takes place in a small coal town devastated by a recent tragedy.

After a mining accident takes the lives of several residents, the disappearance of 14 year-old J.T. leaves the town in even more despair.

There’s A Whole Lot of Singing in the New Trailer for “The Last 5 Years”

TheLast5Years(PCM) The first trailer for RADiUS’ dramedy musical, The Last 5 Years, starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan in the last 5 years of the young hopeful couple’s failed marriage.

The trailer, clocking in at a little over two minutes, features both Kendrick and Jordan singing their hearts out and is a good tip-off that The Last 5 Years will probably be most enjoyed by someone who is a huge fan of musicals.
