Familiar Faces Both Old And New Make Contact In New Season Of Roswell, New Mexico

In the aftermath of the tragic sacrifice of Max Evans (Nathan Dean) and return of Rosa Ortecho (Amber Midthunder) in the season one finale of Roswell, New Mexico, the mysterious town seemed like a place where anything could happen. It’s only fitting then that the second season will see two surprising recurring guest stars: Gaius Charles from Friday Night Lights and Jason Behr, the actor who portrayed Max Evans in the original Roswell series. Cast and producers of The CW/Warner Bros. Television’s sophomore series announced the cast additions during Roswell, New Mexico’s New York Comic Con 2019 panel on Sunday, October 6. Gaius Charles, who played Smash on Friday Night Lights, will recur as Bronson, a local farmer with a strong moral compass that leads him to see the good in people –– and aliens –– in a time of great prejudice. Ultimately, his quest to protect those he loves pits him against forces far more powerful than he is. About the casting of Charles, executive producer Chris Hollier added: “When we were looking at a way to instantly have our audience be invested in a 1947 storyline, we …

Blade Original Movie Soundtrack By Mark Isham Now Available From Varese Sarabande Records

The Original Motion Picture Score for Blade by award-winning composer Mark Isham has been released for the first time on vinyl today and is available on VareseSarabande.com and other retailers. The LP’s jacket, inner sleeve, and labels thematically reference the infamous warehouse rave scene of the vampire thriller from 1998. “The score needed to have an epic super-hero quality but with a very dark side, and it needed to be able to live next to the world of 1990’s electronica – The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Aphex Twin, etc. We used a large symphony orchestra supplemented with electronic synthesizers and samplers for a unique musical vocabulary. I did a lot of sampling of weird and strange sounds as well as programming my synth collection. We recorded at the Fox stage which is a wonderful room. The process went smoothly as I had worked tirelessly with Steve Norrington, the director, during the demo process to get what we both wanted. We recorded some sections of the score in smaller segments – to be edited together later – as a lot of the visual effects …

James Wan’s Atomic Monster Boards Hivemind’s Gideon Falls

Hivemind today announced that it is joining forces with James Wan (the upcoming MALIGNANT, AQUAMAN, THE CONJURING Universe) and his Atomic Monster production company for GIDEON FALLS – Hivemind’s upcoming television adaptation of the best-selling Image Comics series from acclaimed creators Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino. Fresh off of GIDEON FALLS‘ high-profile win for “Best New Series” at the 2019 Eisner Awards, Wan will executive produce the hour-long horror drama alongside Atomic Monster’s Michael Clear, Hivemind’s Jason Brown, Sean Daniel, Kathy Lingg and Dinesh Shamdasani, and original series creators Lemire and Sorrentino. Rob Hackett will oversee for Atomic Monster. “We are very excited about James Wan and Atomic Monster joining the GIDEON FALLS team,” said series co-creators Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino. “James’ creative vision will be a wonderful fit for the world of GIDEON FALLS and to help adapt the series to television in a truly unique and exciting way.” An atmospheric thriller colliding rural mystery and urban horror, the series follows an ensemble cast of seemingly random strangers — a washed-up Catholic priest, an uncompromising female sheriff, and a young recluse obsessed with unraveling a conspiracy buried in his city’s trash — as they become drawn into a mystery connected to a long-forgotten local legend. …

AHS 1984 Review

The 1980s are back in all its hokeyness, thanks to AHS 1984. The series is back for its ninth bloody season. The series was created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. This season of AHS was heavily influenced by slasher films like Halloween and Friday the 13th. I have been looking forward to this series ever since San Diego Comic-Con when I took part in a walkthrough that FX hosted on the lawn of the Hilton Bayfront. Everything about the walkthrough was amazing including the actors and the props used once you walked through the doors to Camp Redwood. You can check out our awesome review here. https://www.ageofthenerd.com/2019/08/our-exciting-adventure-at-the-fx-fearless-forum-at-san-diego-comic-con/ Were only two episodes into the seven-episode season, and blood has already spilled. A lot of fans were upset when news broke that Evan Peters would not be returning this season, but the show must go on. In 1984 Brooke Thompson ( Emma Roberts) is attacked by the Night Stalker. Brooke meets some new friends at a local aerobics’ studio. Because of Brooke’s past trauma, she decided to leave town with her new …
