Winners for the 45th annual Saturn Awards, honoring motion picture, television, home entertainment and live stage productions, were announced today at an exciting ceremony hosted by Aisha Tyler at the historic Avalon Theater in Hollywood and streamed across 8 online platforms. Leading the way with 6 Saturn Award wins was Marvel/Walt Disney Studio’s Avengers: Endgame which took home the awards for Best Comic-to-Motion Picture Release, Best Actor in A Film (Robert Downey Jr.), Best Film Production Design, Best Film editing, Best Film Make-Up, and Best Film Special/Visual Effects. Additional film acting awards went to Jamie Lee Curtis who won Best Actress for Halloween, Zendaya who took home the award for Best Supporting Actress in Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Josh Brolin who won Best Supporting Actor for Avengers: Infinity War. John Lithgow Cast In The Pilot Of FX’s ‘The Old Man’

The pilot of the FX drama series The Old Man continues to load up on talent with the addition of John Lithgow and director Jon Watts, it was announced today by Nick Grad and Gina Balian, Presidents, Original Programming, FX Entertainment. Lithgow will star alongside Jeff Bridges in the pilot, which begins production this fall under the direction of Watts, who most recently directed and co-wrote Spider-Man: Homecoming and the sequel Spider-Man: Far From Home. Watts will also serve as an Executive Producer on The Old Man. Based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Thomas Perry, The Old Man centers on “Dan Chase” (Jeff Bridges) who absconded from the CIA decades ago and has been living off the grid since.  When an assassin arrives and tries to take Chase out, the old operative learns that to ensure his future he now must reconcile his past. Cult Series ‘Dark Shadows’ May Be Getting A Reboot On The CW

Rumor has it that The CW and Warner Bros. Television are in the process of developing a new series based on the classic 60’s cult series “Dark Shadows”. There is no word on just how the new series will differ for the classic series which blended together elements of a soap opera and comedy. It is said that the pilot for the series will be written by Mark B. Perry (Revenge, Ghost Whisperer and Brothers & Sisters). A big fan of the original show, which he watched as a child when he came home from school, the showrunner has been after the adaptation rights for Dark Shadows for the last two years. This latest version will be “a modern-day continuation of the strange, terrifying, and sexy saga of the Collins family of Collinsport, Maine — a mysterious, influential, publicity-shy group hiding a ghastly secret: for the past 400 years, they’ve lived under a curse that bedevils their blue blood with every imaginable supernatural creature and horror.” The new team intends to get back to the roots of the original series, …

First Images Of Riverdale Luke Perry Tribute Arrive

It is still absolutely heartbreaking to think about the tragic death of actor Luke Perry and fans of The CW series “Riverdale” were left wondering just how the series would tackle Perry’s passing as he portrayed lead character Archie Andrew’s father, Fred Andrews, in the series. After viewing the tear-jerking tribute reel during the “Riverdale” Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con we knew the series would be handling Perry’s death the best they could as we certainly know this was not an easy loss for the cast and crew. The CW has revealed the first images from the Luke Perry tribute from the upcoming fourth season of the series.  The Saturn Awards organization today announced that actress and comedian Aisha Tyler will host the 45th annual awards show on Friday, September 13, 2019. Creepshow Is Coming For You On Shudder

In less than three weeks one of the most highly anticipated shows is coming to Shudder. Creepshow will debut on the horror streaming service on September 26th 2019.  Creepshow will comprise of six episodes with two horror stories per episode. The series will take place after the last two films with the same concept. The original Creepshow movie came out all the way back in 1982 and featured stories by Stephen King and was directed by horror legend George Romero. Greg Nicotero will be the showrunner for the series and will also direct an episode. Tom Savani who originally worked on the original Creepshow will also direct an episode called “By the Silver Water of Lake Champlain/The Companion. Adrienne Barbeau who appeared in the original movie will appear in an upcoming episode.
