Jackie Chan’s Son Arrested After A Drug Bust In Bejing

(PCM) 32-year old Jaycee Chan, the son of actor Jackie Chan, was arrested after a drug bust that occurred in Bejing’s Dongcheng district. Both Chan and his friend Taiwanese actor Kai Ko were both caught in the raid and tested positive for marijuana usage.

According to CNN.com, authorities discovered more than 100 grams of marijuana after a search of Chan’s apartment and also charged him with hosting others to take drugs within his dwelling. If convicted, Chan could face up to three years in jail under Chinese law.

In a statement, Chan claims that he very much regrets what happened and apologizes to all who have supported him over the years. He went on to say “I just want to tell them I’m really sorry. I’ve set the worst example, which had the most terrible influence. And this is a huge mistake.”

Thief Has A Change Of Heart After Texts From A Single Mother Of Five

(PCM) This is certainly not the type of robbery story that you hear everyday! The man who stole a van belonging to single mother of five, Megan Brattan, had a change of heart and returned the vehicle after exchanging text messages with the single parent.

Bratten had driven her work van to a local area Kmart story in Missouri and claims that when she had finished her shopping and returned to the parking lot she found that her van had been stolen.

Bratten recalled that her cellphone was also in stolen van and decided to make an attempt at texting the thief in hopes of getting her vehicle back.… Full Story

News Crew Robbed During Story About “Sketchy” Neighborhoods

(PCM) Talk about irony! A news crew in Washingon D.C. were actually robbed while they were doing a news report about an phone app that can pin point so-called “sketchy” neighborhoods.

The news crew members claim that they had locked all of the doors to the news van when they were parked in an area that the app had considered to be “sketchy”. While the crew and reporter were out conducting interviews with residents in the neighborhood, the van was burglarized and thousands of dollars worth of equipment was stolen.

Elderly Woman Caught With Cash In Her Girdle In The Airport

(PCM) A 78 year old woman from Florida was travelling on an international trip to the Philippines with her daughter when she was caught at Detroit Metropolitan Airport with nearly $41,000 in cash hidden in her girdle, bra and carry-on bag.

Federal law declares that travelers much declare if they are carrying more than $10,000 in cash. The woman initially claimed that she was only carrying $200 in cash and then later filled out a form declaring that she had $1,200 which is what ultimately prompted Custom and Borders Protection officers to question her.

Horrifying Video Shows A Tourist Kicking A Squirrel Into The Grand Canyon

(PCM) A horrifying animal cruelty video has recently surfaced that show a tourist kicking a squirrel off the edge of a cliff down into the Grand Canyon in Arizona.

The video is quickly picking up viral status and investigators are trying to determine the authenticity of the video that they believe was shot at the Grand Canyon National Park. Investigators are working with YouTube in attempt to determine the individuals identities and some additional information about the video.

The disturbing video, which is titled “Squirrel kicked into the Grand Canyon by French thugs”, features two men clothed only in underwear and straw hats leading a squirrel to the edge of the canyon with a trail of bread crumbs.… Full Story

Court Awards $23.6 Billion To Widow In Smoking Lawsuit

(PCM) A Florida court jury has awarded Cynthia Robinson, the widow of Michael Johnson, Sr, $23.6 billion in punitive damages in a lawsuit she filed against R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company back in 2008.

Robinson claimed that smoking killed her husband, who was 36 years old at the time of his death. He began smoking when he was only 13-years old and died of lung cancer. Robinson feels that the tobacco company is to blame.

The court trial lasted about four weeks and jurors deliberated for nearly 15 hours before reaching a verdict in the case. The jury found that the tobacco company was negligent in informing Michael Johnson of the dangers of smoking such as causing lung cancer and also the fact that nicotine is highly addictive.… Full Story

Woman With A Baby Thrown Out Of Brad Paisley Concert

(PCM) The news that a woman has been thrown out of a recent Brad Paisley concert for having a baby strapped to her in the pit area in front of the stage has been stirring up quite a debate online.

The woman, who also had another child with her at the show who appeared to be about 10, was escorted from the “pit” area by venue security because local police felt that she was endangering the baby that was strapped to her chest by being too close to the speakers. The child was not wearing any sort of ear protection.
