Funny Or Die’s Hilarious Interview With The Cast Of Horrible Bosses 2

Horrible-Bosses2

(PCM) Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day and Jason Bateman of the hilarious film “Horrible Bosses 2″ discuss texting while driving and hypothetical meals with the very strange Andre Hyland.

Recently, we were able to attend an early screening of “Horrible Bosses 2″ and if you thought the first film was hilarious that you are going to absolutely adore the sequel.

There are certain times in a comedy film that the jokes and/or comedic moments can feel forced, but this is not the case with “Horrible Bosses 2″. It is a true statement to on-screen chemistry of the cast and just how much they appear to be able to feed off one another throughout the entire film.

There is absolutely nothing that is off limits with the jokes and stunts that are portrayed in this film. It is certainly not a film for the easily offended and those of us with our minds … Read more

Director David Dobkin Talks To PCM About ‘The Judge’

(PCM) The dramatic new film, The Judge, tackles major issues: the complex relationship of fathers and sons, hidden truths, and whether or not you can go home again.

In the hands of a less masterful director, The Judge, might be cliché. But director David Dobkin, (Wedding Crashers, and Shanghai Knights), was up to the challenge… and then some.

The Effects Of A Fincher-Thon! Gone Girl Opening Soon!

Gone-Girl1

(PCM) We were absolutely thrilled with director David Fincher’s latest film “Gone Girl” starring Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, and Neil Patrick Harris.

The film tells the story of a man whose wife has disappeared and the entire case has become a media circus. The man finds himself as one of the top suspects in the case and things turn out to be not exactly as they seem.

The film is filled with so many unbelievable twists and turns and without a doubt keeps you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. It is a film that we would almost rather not review, not because we didn’t enjoy it, but more so to leave that air of mystery alive and well for audiences heading out to catch this amazing crime thriller in theaters without any prior knowledge of what to expect. It is pertinent that if you have … Read more

Guardians of the Galaxy Review: No Spoilers – Best Marvel Release Yet

Guardians of the Galaxy Review: Best Marvel Release Yet - no spoilers- spoiler free(PCM) Guardians of the Galaxy is the most advertised Marvel movie to date. It’s the strongest effort produced by Marvel studious yet. Guardian’s is more of a science fiction romp than a superhero flick, scoring a five out of five. More than just a film worth seeing, it’s worth owning in your media library with strong replay value.

Directed by James Gunn, Guardians of the Galaxy is quirky, hilarious at times, balanced in action, character oriented, with a sensational blend of Marvel personalities that do not come off as Star Wars cantina oddballs.

Voiced by Bradley Cooper Characters such as Rocket Raccoon will keep you in stitches and at no time do you hear Bradley in the character. Without knowing he is the voice, you could never pick him out. On the trivia front, Bradley cites Rocket’s voice based on Joe Pesci’s character Tommy DeVito in 1990′s Goodfellas.

Vin Diesel … Read more

Jersey Boys: The Music Makes The Movie

Jersey Boys FilmHaving seen a great number of movie musicals and movie biographies, not to mention movie musical biographies, I am sad to say that Jersey Boys did not live up to its much hoped for expectations.

The movie, which begins in New Jersey in 1951, and chronicles the story of the Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, is a sad tale whose only bright moments come with the musical performances, which are brilliant in themselves but are many times cut short so favorite songs are brought down to snippets of songs instead of full length performances.

The movie could have been bettered titled The Angry Jersey Boys as the story revolved again and again around lies and deceit as well as extra-marital affairs and constant fighting among the four characters. There were very few smiles even at the highest points of the boys’ careers. There always seemed to be a grudge … Read more

‘Maleficent’ Review

Maleficent manages to put an entertaining spin on the tale of Sleeping Beauty, by attempting to tell the story from the villains perspective. Early scenes of the character, and later interactions between Malificent and Aurora successfully add depth and intrigue, but overall falls short in creating a unique backstory for the character. Despite the immersive visual effects and Angelina Jolie’s more »

X-Men Days of Future Past Film Review: A Bright Future Ahead for the X-Men Franchise

(PCM) – This is a detailed spoiler-free review of X-Men Days of Future Past. X-Men’s Days of Future Past is far from canon depicted in the original Marvel comic two part series The Uncanny X-Men #141 & #142. Unlike Spider-Man’s convolution of canon, the changes in the celluloid X-Men universe work on many levels. Perhaps most intriguing is that it changes the outcome of past X-Men movies without making them obsolete. In comic books this is called re-birth, in this film franchise it’s brilliant.

X-Men Comics Days of Future Past

X-Men issues 141 and 142

This is the seventh film in the X-Men franchise since 2000. (X-Men, X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, X-Men: First Class and The Wolverine).

After 14 years the franchise has made the most of all the preceding good and bad X-Men films. With Bryan Singer back at the helm, great care and regard for the X-Men characters has resulted … Read more
