(PCM) As you all probably know by now, iconic Hollywood actress Lauren Bacall sadly passed away on Tuesday at the age of 89. While Hollywood and the film world certainly mourns Bacall’s passing, her death actually has a bit of an odd impact in the music realm as well.

RIP: Lauren Bacall – 1924-2014

(PCM) Hollywood lost another legend this week; the captivating Lauren Bacall, famous for her roles alongside Humphrey Bogart in The Big Sleep, Key Largo, and To Have and Have Not, passed away earlier today, August 12, 2014.

Catching her break in 1944 as Marie ‘Slim’ Browning, the seductive lounge singer in To Have and Have Not, Bacall quickly made a name for herself in Hollywood with her characteristic sultry voice, good looks, and great acting.

The actress passed away in New York at the age of 89 and is mourned by many. The Bogart Estate confirmed the news with a somber tweet:

Beloved Comedian And Actor Robin Williams Dead At Age 63

(PCM) We are deeply saddened to learn that Oscar winning comedian and actor Robin Williams has tragically passed away at the age of 63. Early reports are claiming that Williams’ death is the result of an apparent suicide, however his longtime publicist has not yet made a final confirmation.

In a statement the publicist confirmed that Williams had passed away and that he had been dealing with severe depression as of late. The publicist went on to say that the death of Williams was both sudden and very tragic and asks that the public respect the family’s privacy to grieve during this difficult time.

This is just the case with the obituary for 70-year old Joanna Scarpitti, which opened with the famous Wizard Of Oz catch-phrase “Ding dong the witch is dead”. However, before everyone gets their panties in a bunch about a “disrespectful” or “mean-spirited” remembrance, there is actually a really good reason behind the family’s use of the quote.

Actress Elaine Stritch Dead At Age 89

(PCM) Beloved actress and singer Elaine Stritch has tragically passed away at the age of 89 at her home in Birmingham, Alabama.

Stritch had only recently relocated to Alabama last year, as she had famously resided at the Carlyle Hotel in Manhattan.

Stritch’s illustrious career spans over 70 years with roles in films such as “September”, “Small Time Crooks”, “Cocoon:The Return”, “Cadillac Man”, “Monster-in-Law” as well as television appearances on “30 Rock”, “Law And Order”, and ” The Cosby Show”.

Her career also included several notable roles in Broadway shows “Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf”, “Endgame” and “Showboat” and has earned multiple Tony nominations. She was also the star of a one-woman show “Elaine Stritch at Liberty”, which was another Broadway smash hit.

A documentary about her life titled “Elaine Stritch: Shoot Me” was also released earlier this year.

The Last Original Ramone, Tommy Ramone, Had Died At Age 62

(PCM) It is with great sadness that we report that the last original Ramone, drummer, Tommy Ramone, has passed away at the age of 62.

A call was made from Ramone’s wife, to Dave Frey who works for Ramones Productions and Silent Partner Management, to let me know that Tommy Ramone had passed away. So, far there have been no additional details released about his immediate cause of death.

Tommy Ramone was one of the co-founders of the legendary punk band The Ramones back in 1974. His band mates were Joey Ramone, DeeDee Ramone and guitarist Johnny Ramone. All members initially had different last names, but together adopted the last name of Ramone.

Ohio High School Student Overdoses On Caffeine

(PCM) Caffeine addiction has been proven to have some dangerous consequences, which is definitely the case in the mysterious death of high school senior, 18-year old Logan Stiner.

Stiner, was discovered dead on the floor of his home back on May 27th, just one week shy of his high school graduation. His death baffled officials who saw no immediate signs of foul play and were informed that Stiner was in excellent physical health.
