All That Remains Guitarist Oli Herbert Dies At 44

(TRR) – All That Remains guitarist and founding member Oli Herbert has died. The band confirmed his passing on Wednesday morning via social media. He was 44 years old. The band released the following statement:

“We were devastated to learn that Oli Herbert, our friend, guitar player, and founding member of All That Remains, has passed away. Oli was an incredibly talented guitarist and song writer who defined Rock and Metal from the Northeast. His impact on the genres and our lives will continue indefinitely. No further details are available at this time. The band and family request that you please respect their privacy and remember Oli by celebrating the great music he made.”

Oli co-founded All That Remains in 1998 and played guitar on all eight of the band’s studio albums. In addition to his talent on stage, Oli was one of the nicest musicians around. According to fans, he was a pleasure to meet and interact with. All That Remains will be releasing their ninth LP Victim of the New Disease on November 9 via Razor & Tie. It will be the last piece of recorded material to feature Oli Herbert. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Oli, his family, All That Remains and their entire crew.
