(TRR) – The Strokes have announced a special New Year’s Eve performance. The show is set for Tuesday, December 31 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Tickets go on sale this Friday, August 9 at 10am EST via Ticketmaster.
The Strokes have partnered with Governors Ball Music Festival and Live Nation for a special presale. All 3-day attendees of this year’s Governors Ball will have access to tickets tomorrow, Tuesday, August 6 at 10am EST HERE. Fans will be emailed a unique code from Front Gate.
“People wanted us to play a show in NY,” the band said in a statement. So we thought, OK.”
On September 27, The Strokes will headline the first night of Ohana Festival in Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, CA. Also slated to perform are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Incubus, Pearl Jam‘s Eddie Vedder, and others. Single Day and Two Day festival passes are still available HERE.
The band’s fifth studio effort was 2013’s Comedown Machine (RCA).
