Old souls at heart, the young rock outfit sauntered onto the stage and kicked things off with “When The Curtain Falls.” They showcased their developing talent with a solid mix of tunes from their latest full-length outing, and their debut EP From The Fires that put the band on the map.

They also through in a John Denver cover for good measure, ’cause why not?

Highlights included hits like “Age of Man,” “Edge of Darkness,” “Black Smoke Rising,” “You’re The One,” to name a few. The group wrapped up their main set with their smash single “Highway Tune,” which definitely rocked the hardest.

The band returned for a three-track encore that encluded a super cool “Flower Power/Anthem” mash-up and “Watch Me.” The closed out the evening with “Safari Song.”

For Greta Van Fleet, the early comparisons to Led Zeppelin where oversealous. To be fair, it’s nearly impossible to compare anyone to the mighty Zeppelin. However, what the do have is swagger on stage and the musical chops to back it up.

One EP and one studio album have shown us that this young band can not only write a song, but they can put on a good show as well. That being said, 2020 is sure to be a huge year for Greta Van Fleet. It will be exciting to see what this vintage-sounding group can achieve over the course of the next five years or so. Rock music is in dire need of their services.
