Band leader Zakk Wylde shared an update from the studio
Black Label Society are working on a new album. Frontman Zakk Wylde offered fans an update from the studio this week. He found some time to work on the new record in the midst of his Pantera commitments.
“Greetings, Berzerkers,” the note began. “As you can see, Black Label Society is hard at work on the studio working on a new album and somehow there’s enough hours in the day for Zakk Wylde to break skulls with Pantera.”
Black Label Society last album was 2021’s Doom Crew Inc. It featured the hit single “Set You Free,” the fast-paced rocker “Destroy & Conquer,” and the heavy groover “Forsaken.” It was the band’s eleventh studio effort.
This summer, Wylde is touring with Pantera on the band’s first North American headlining tour in over 20 years. The trek kicks off on July 28 at The Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania and wraps up on September 15 at Jiffy Lube Live in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Very special guests will be Lamb of God.
In September, Wylde will pull double duty at Blue Ridge Rock Festival in Virginia. Black Label Society plays on Saturday, September 9, and Pantera headlines on Sunday, September 10. It is Black Label Society’s only performance scheduled for this year.
