It’s campy. It’s gory and it’s all about zombies. Ian Ziering is back and he’s battling zombies. Zombie Tidal Wave premieres tonight on SyFy at 9 pm. We don’t really need to go in-depth here, but it looks like from the trailer that zombies are coming ashore and Ziering and company have to battle the undead or join them. After playing Steve Sanders in all ten seasons of Beverly Hills 90210, Ziering has created a cult-like following with the Sharknado series. So far there have been six Sharknado movies all airing on the SyFy network with big numbers churning out to watch the mayhem. Sharknado may be cheesy, but there seems to be an audience that loves those crazy sharks. Ziering is hoping that those same people who love the Sharknado series will be fall in love with Zombie Tidal Wave. Anthony C. Ferrante who directed all the Sharknado films will be directing this zombie film. Check out the official Zombie Tidal Wave Trailer below. Are you going to be watching? Fans have been eagerly anticipating the return of Jhonen Vasquez’s “Invader Zim” with the release of a new Netflix film titled “Invader Zim: Enter The Florpus”. Despite only lasting two seasons on Nickelodeon, the 2000’s animated series made a huge impact on pop culture and was beloved by fans. The show, which features a small and quite angry alien attempting to take over the earth, pushed boundaries as many of the episodes featured some pretty dark themes for an animated series. Well, the “doom” is about to strike again, as “Invader Zim: Enter The Florpus” is now currently available on Netflix! As we previously reported, Harry Styles took on the role of Prince Eric in Disney’s Live-Action remake of The Little Mermaid. Well it has now appeared that he actually turned down the role in the movie as reported exclusively by The Wrap. TheWrap however reported that “individuals with knowledge of the project” exclusively told them that he respectfully decline the opportunity to be Prince Eric in the movie but is a fan of the project. Earlier today, both AMC Theatres and Regal Cinemas inaccurately tweeted that Styles had been casted within the role. Both theater chains later deleted the tweets but not quick enough that media outlets weren’t able to screenshot them and make a news story. Both tweets are now deleted, but for a brief moment today two of the biggest theaters in the country were “breaking” news #WhatHappened 🤔 (h/t @nigelmfs) pic.twitter.com/u9abSsK6pq — Jason Guerrasio (@JasonGuerrasio) August 13, 2019 More information to come as the story develops.

Stung by a string of showbiz failures, floundering comedian Rudy Ray Moore (Academy Award nominee Eddie Murphy) has an epiphany that turns him into a word-of-mouth sensation: step onstage as someone else. Borrowing from the street mythology of 1970s Los Angeles, Moore assumes the persona of Dolemite, a pimp with a cane and an arsenal of obscene fables. However, his ambitions exceed selling bootleg records deemed too racy for mainstream radio stations to play. Moore convinces a social justice-minded dramatist (Keegan-Michael Key) to write his alter ego a film, incorporating kung fu, car chases, and Lady Reed (Da’Vine Joy Randolph), an ex-backup singer who becomes his unexpected comedic foil. Despite clashing with his pretentious director, D’Urville Martin (Wesley Snipes), and countless production hurdles at their studio in the dilapidated Dunbar Hotel, Moore’s Dolemite becomes a runaway box office smash and a defining movie of the Blaxploitation era. Comics and rappers have praised Moore as a pioneering influence over the past few decades, and Dolemite Is My Name is a hilarious celebration of a singular talent who made his own legend. …

From a screenplay by Shia LaBeouf, based on his own experiences, award-winning filmmaker Alma Har’el (Bombay Beach, LoveTrue) brings to life a young actor’s stormy childhood and early adult years as he struggles to reconcile with his father and deal with his mental health. Fictionalizing his ascent to stardom, and subsequent crash-landing into rehab and recovery, Har’el casts Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place) and Lucas Hedges (Boy Erased, Manchester by the Sea) as Otis Lort, navigating different stages in a frenetic career. LaBeouf takes on the therapeutic challenge of playing a version of his own father, an ex-rodeo clown and a felon. Dancer-singer FKA twigs make’s her feature-film debut, playing neighbor and kindred spirit to the younger Otis in their garden-court motel home. Har’el’s feature narrative debut is a one-of-a-kind collaboration between filmmaker and subject, exploring art as medicine and imagination as hope through the life and times of a talented, traumatized performer who dares to go in search of himself. The film was produced by Har’el, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Daniela Taplin Lundberg, Anita Gou and Christopher Leggett. Executive Producers are Fred …

I once waved to Seth Rogen at San Diego Comic-Con where he was attending a panel for the AMC show Preacher. Rogen is an executive producer on the show and attends Comic-Con on the regular. He never waved back, but hey I tried. Preacher is on its fourth and final season on AMC and airs on Sunday nights. The series finale will air on September 29th. Rogen seems like a likable guy, and usually plays the kind of character you would want to hang out with. In many of his movies, he plays a stoner and I would go as far as to say he’s Canada ‘s answer to Willie Nelson. Rogen might play a stoner on screen, but he is busy in front of and behind the camera. According to IMDB Seth Rogen has 95 acting credits to his name. That’s a lot of work. Rogen is also a producer on the hit Amazon Prime show The Boys. The show revolves around a group of superheroes well that are not that nice and sometimes very evil. Out …
Love or hate Quentin Tarantino as a filmmaker, most all of us can agree that the famed director knows how to put together one heck of an amazing film soundtrack! Credit definitely has to be given to his music director Mary Ramos, as the pair always seem to find the perfect soundscape to capture the essence of many pivotal scenes throughout Tarantino’s extensive body of work. Much of the music has its’ roots in the genre of funk and soul, however, there is also quite a bit of surf rock, country and classical thrown in for good measure as well. Tarantino digs out many lesser heard tracks but also manages to bring about a fresh life to some legendary classics as well. In support of his amazing new film “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood”, Tarantino has paired up with Spotify for a takeover of their Film & TV Favorites playlist to compile a 71 song tracklist of some of his personal favorites from his own film soundtracks. The list is pretty incredible and we seriously can’t stop listening. It …

The little furry creatures that made a bloody splash in the 80s have crash-landed again and they’re hungry. The cast and crew of Critters Attacks made a special appearance at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con and they had a lot to say. Here are a few highlights. STEVE BLUM who voiced the Critter’s had this to say about working on the film. He did all the voices for the Critter’s in about 8 hours in a studio in Burbank, California. Each Critter has its own personality. He really put over the puppeteers and the people behind the scenes. KEITH ARBUTHNOT was one of the puppeteers and was super cool to talk to about the film. Keith’s favorite scene in the movie revolves around want to be YouTube personality who meets an untimely end in horrific Critters fashion. They had 20 some Critter puppets on-site during filming. Both Steve and Keith loved the original film. Legendary actress DEE WALLACE who appeared in the original 1986 film as Helen Brown, returns to the franchise, but as a different character. Everyone has been buzzing about the possibility (and hope) for a sequel to director Edgar Wright’s amazing film “Baby Driver”. The film, which was released back in 2017, starring Ansel Elgort immediately sucked in audiences all over the world and even earned three Academy Award nominations. It now appears that our wishes may soon be coming true, as Elgort recently mentioned to MTV News that he is incredibly excited to play Baby again! He revealed, “Edgar has shown me the script. At long last, we have finally gotten our first look at the highly anticipated film “The Irishman” directed by Martin Scorsese which will be hitting select theaters and Netflix this fall! The first showing of the film is set to take place at the New York Film Festival, whose director Kent Jones is a frequent collaborator of Martin Scorsese. From what we hear the special effects used to create this film took an incredible amount of time, as they were used to change the aging of actors Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci. Since the story will not be told chronologically (and will, therefore, move back and forth in time), the viewer will be able to see the actors’ faces, sometimes young and sometimes old. The film is adapted from Delaware author Charles Brandt’s book I Heard You Paint Houses and focuses on the eventful life of hitman Frank Sheeran, aka The Irishman. The film is an epic saga of organized crime in post-war America told through the eyes of World War II veteran Frank Sheeran, a hustler, and …

We have finally gotten our first look at the live-action remake of Disney’s “Mulan” with the release of the first teaser trailer. In the trailer, we see Mulan striving to fulfill what she knows is her destiny. The film looks fantastic and we can hardly contain our excitement for the spring of 2020 release date! The new movie takes us to the mountains of China (and New Zealand) for epic training scenes of the troops who master combats moves to perfection, starting with Mulan herself, more determined than ever. Chinese star actress Liu Yfei, aka Crystal Liu, took over the role of Mulan. Like in the 1998 cartoon, while already betrothed, she changes her destiny by joining the army against her family’s wishes and the emperor’s order, played by Jet Li. Mulan dresses up as a man to defend her people against the invasion of the Huns. The film is directed by Nikki Caro and will definitely have some differences from the original animated version with the biggest difference being that there will be no music in this live-action version …
