Mark Hamill Might Be Known As A Jedi But His Voice Will Live In Villainy Infamy

Pop Culture QuestFor forty-plus years now Mark Hamill has been a household name. Hamill’s work in Star Wars as Luke Skywalker the apprentice turned Jedi master was box office gold and inspired a generation of future storytellers including Kevin Smith, but more on that later. Mark Hamill might be known as a Jedi, but his voice has found the Darkside, and he has been making quite the impact as a voice actor. Hamill started voicing Joker all the way back in the early ’90s. The Joker is quite possibly Batman’s greatest enemy.  And fans seemed to be overjoyed to have Hamill take the voice and give it’s his take. Then in 2019 horror fans and the world alike were shocked to hear that Hamill would be the voice of Chucky. Yes, everyone’s favorite knee-high serial killer from the 80’s that scared me, and little kids everywhere. This knew Chucky was not in the same realm of the Don Mancini creation, but an entire new adaption. Fans were mixed about the new adaption but were happy to see Hamill’s name attached. Now let’s …

Jodie Whittaker Will Return For Dr. Who For Season 13

We can say that it comes as no real surprise that actress Jodie Whittaker, who is now into her second year as The Doctor, will be making a return for “Dr. Who” season 13 as well! Whittaker took on the infamous role of The Doctor back in October of 2018 marking the first time the role has gone to a female in the series 55-year history. The past twelve roles for The Doctor have all been men. Whittaker revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that she will be commandeering the TARDIS for at least one more season. Despite suffering misogynistic attacks from fans who were angry that their hero was no longer a man when she took over from Peter Capaldi, Jodie Whittaker has quickly found her feet alongside new showrunner Chris Chibnall. We think she has been absolutely splendid in the role. “Yes, I’m doing another season. That might be a massive exclusive that I’m not supposed to say, but it’s unhelpful for me to say [I don’t know] because it would be a massive lie! I absolutely …

Robert Aramayo will be appearing alongside Markella Kavenagh (The Cry), Maxim Baldry (Years and Years) and Joseph “Benjen Stark” Mawle, his fictitious brother in GoT. Freeform’s ‘Party Of Five’ Reboot Puts A Fresh Spin On Original Concept

Being a huge fan of the original “Party Of Five” series which aired on FOX for six seasons from 1994 to 2000 we were thrilled to learn that the series was going to get a reboot on Freeform with a fresh twist. After having a chance to check out the all-new “Party Of Five” we were thrilled to see that the reboot definitely pays proper homage to the original series, however, it manages to tackle many topics, namely immigration, that play a major part in our current political climate today. Freeform’s “Party Of Five” stars Brandon Larracuente, Niko Guardado, Emily Tosta, and Elle Paras Legaspi as the five Acosta children who are left to fend for themselves after their parents are deported back to Mexico. In the premiere episode, we are introduced to the entire Acosta family who owns a restaurant and their five children range in …

This wasn’t the first time we have been introduced to this character, Harley Quinn originally appeared in the 1992 show, Batman: The Animated Series, and was voiced by Arleen Sorkin.  Since Suicide Squad, the character has reached a new level of popularity, spawning Halloween costumes and a whole new sense of punk style for young girls among many things.  Ahead of the follow-up, spin-off titled Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn, due out in February, DC Universe has just released an animated series solely dedicated to the frequent accomplice and lover of Joker, titled Harley Quinn.  One of the many standout elements of the new streaming series is the score by composer Jefferson Friedman, which he has described as “power punk crossed with carnival music”.  Jefferson is no stranger to DC Universe, he scored the 2017 Vanessa Hudgens series Powerless.  To get a better idea of Jefferson’s scoring process for Harley Quinn …
