The 23rd Annual Hollywood Film Awards Marked The Launch Of Awards Season With Star-Studded Evening

Tonight, the 23rd Annual “Hollywood Film Awards” brought together Hollywood’s elite to honor the year’s most talked-about and highly anticipated actors, actresses and films, and those who helped bring them to life. The awards ceremony, celebrating its 23rd anniversary as the official launch of the awards season, was hosted by actor and comedian Rob Riggle, and took place at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. In its 23-year history, over 340 of the world’s biggest stars and filmmakers have been highlighted at the “Hollywood Film Awards” and more than 140 of the honorees have gone on to garner Oscar nominations and/or wins. A First Look At Martin Scorsese’s ‘The Irishman’

At long last, we have finally gotten our first look at the highly anticipated film “The Irishman” directed by Martin Scorsese which will be hitting select theaters and Netflix this fall! The first showing of the film is set to take place at the New York Film Festival, whose director Kent Jones is a frequent collaborator of Martin Scorsese. From what we hear the special effects used to create this film took an incredible amount of time, as they were used to change the aging of actors Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci. Since the story will not be told chronologically (and will, therefore, move back and forth in time), the viewer will be able to see the actors’ faces, sometimes young and sometimes old. The film is adapted from Delaware author Charles Brandt’s book I Heard You Paint Houses and focuses on the eventful life of hitman Frank Sheeran, aka The Irishman.
