Mark Hamill Might Be Known As A Jedi But His Voice Will Live In Villainy Infamy

Hamill’s work in Star Wars as Luke Skywalker the apprentice turned Jedi master was box office gold and inspired a generation of future storytellers including Kevin Smith, but more on that later. Mark Hamill might be known as a Jedi, but his voice has found the Darkside, and he has been making quite the impact as a voice actor. Hamill started voicing Joker all the way back in the early ’90s. The Joker is quite possibly Batman’s greatest enemy.  And fans seemed to be overjoyed to have Hamill take the voice and give it’s his take. Then in 2019 horror fans and the world alike were shocked to hear that Hamill would be the voice of Chucky. Yes, everyone’s favorite knee-high serial killer from the 80’s that scared me, and little kids everywhere. This knew Chucky was not in the same realm of the Don Mancini creation, but an entire new adaption. Fans were mixed about the new adaption but were happy to see Hamill’s name attached. Now let’s …

‘Riverdance-25th Anniversary Show’ Is Simply Breathtaking

The always spectacular “Riverdance” is a show like no other, so we were absolutely thrilled to learn that the “Riverdance-25th Anniversary Show” would be returning to Philadelphia presented by the Kimmel Center Cultural Campus for a strictly limited engagement at the Merriam Theater from January 21 – 26, 2020, as part of the Kimmel Center’s Broadway Philadelphia 2019-20 season and the 2019-20 Family Discovery Series. The music and dancing blend together perfectly to tell an intricate story that plays out over the course of the nearly two-hour show. The visuals are hypnotic as you witness the immense talent of both the dancers and the musicians alike. The show flys by like a whirlwind giving the audience barely enough time to catch our breath. “Riverdance – 25th Anniversary Show” is “Riverdance” as you’ve never seen it before! Review: ‘Jagged Little Pill’ Opens On Broadway And Breathes Fresh Life Into Alanis Morrissette’s Already Iconic Album

It is almost difficult to put into words just how impressive “Jagged Little Pill” is on the stage, as the show has just recently made it’s Broadway debut. This is no doubt thanks to the incredibly creative team behind the production with director Diane Paulus, scriptwriter Diablo Cody and the artist behind the amazing soundtrack that makes up this show, Alanis Morrissette. “Jagged Little Pill” is loosely based upon the songs that made up Morrisette’s iconic 1995 album release by the same name and taking this music to Broadway has created a breath of fresh life for these songs that were a big part of our angsty teenage youth. After seeing “Jagged Little Pill”, we now have a completely new and different view and understanding of many stand-out tracks featured on both the album and the show including, “You Learn”, “Ironic” and the always anthemic “You Oughta Know” and from now on will definitely be listening to them in an entirely new way. Writer Diablo Cody found a way to take these songs that spoke so much to us back …

Composer Jefferson Friedman Discusses His Score to DC Universe’s New Animated Series ‘Harley Quinn’

By: Dan Moore When DC fans remember David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, they probably first think of Margot Robbie’s incredible portrayal of Harley Quinn. This wasn’t the first time we have been introduced to this character, Harley Quinn originally appeared in the 1992 show, Batman: The Animated Series, and was voiced by Arleen Sorkin.  Since Suicide Squad, the character has reached a new level of popularity, spawning Halloween costumes and a whole new sense of punk style for young girls among many things.  Ahead of the follow-up, spin-off titled Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn, due out in February, DC Universe has just released an animated series solely dedicated to the frequent accomplice and lover of Joker, titled Harley Quinn.  One of the many standout elements of the new streaming series is the score by composer Jefferson Friedman, which he has described as “power punk crossed with carnival music”.  Jefferson is no stranger to DC Universe, he scored the 2017 Vanessa Hudgens series Powerless.  To get a better idea of Jefferson’s scoring process for Harley Quinn …
