Shudder’s record-breaking series Creepshow, executive produced by showrunner Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead), is based on George Romero’s 1982 horror comedy classic and brings to life a series of vignettes, exploring terrors ranging from murder, creatures, monsters and delusions to the supernatural and unexplainable. Heralded as “an irresistibly macabre package,” (Slant Magazine) and “an undeniable love letter to all generations of horror fans,” (CBR), the series has, over three seasons, been one of the most watched programs on Shudder and begins production on its new installment this spring. Creepshow is produced by the Cartel with Monster Agency Productions, Taurus Entertainment, and Striker Entertainment. No actors or stories have been announced for season four of Creepshow, but looking back at past season, Nicotero has the goods to deliver something horribly satisfyingly. Stay tuned here for further details in the coming months for more info on season four.
Continuing my annual tradition of ruining the Halloween season and making everyone say “Joe Bob, what you’re doing here has nothing to do with Halloween!”, I will be hosting a double feature about unconventional serial killers called HALLOWEEN HOEDOWN next Friday October 8th, but to cover myself I have two rarely-interviewed guests who pretty much own the holiday: David Gordon Green, director of HALLOWEEN 2018 and the upcoming HALLOWEEN KILLS, and Jason Blum, founder of Blumhouse, Hollywood’s modern house of movie horror. There’s also a special mystery guest who will rock us into the Halloween spirit, no matter how many factual blunders I make. Both films will be available on Shudder TV Livestream in the US and Canada on 10/8 and then on demand on 10/10. You can also check out Joe Bob in these towns: AND SEE JOE BOB IN PERSON AT THESE EVENTS! * 10/9 How Rednecks Saved Hollywood, Columbus, OH. Tickets * 10/22-10/24 Monster-Mania, Oaks, PA. Tickets * 10/30 Scarefaire, Victorville, CA. Tickets *11/13 How Rednecks Saved Hollywood, Atlanta, GA. Tickets * 11/19-11/21 Preserve Halloween Festival, Irving, TX. Tickets

Cancel Culture is back at it again and this time its target was shock rocker Marilyn Manson. Manson’s ex-girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood went on social media earlier this week, and called out Manson by his real name. In her post Wood’s said she had been abused by Manson for years. She went on to say that she stands with the women who have made the same claims. Manson was dropped by his record label earlier this week. Manson was also released from all his Hollywood representation. Starz has released a statement in the wake of all this and said that that Manson will be removed from American Gods. AMC’s Shudder has also removed Manson from its upcoming horror anthology series Creepshow season 2. With all these allegations against Manson it will be very interesting where his career goes from here. He recently released a statement against the allegations denying them. What do you think will happen to Marilyn Manson ? Leave a comment below.
Halloween is right around the corner, which is a treat for horror fans. With Halloween comes lots and lots of scary movies. One of my favorite horror movies from the 80s regularly plays around this time of year is the movie Creepshow. The film was directed by George A. Romero, the legendary director who brought zombies to the mainstream with Night of the Living Dead’s release. Creepshow came out in 1982 and has since become a cult classic. Stephen King wrote the film and also starred in one of the five stories featured in the movie. King overacts in the segment and steals the show ” The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill.” The story follows a not so smart man named Jody Verrill, who watches a meteorite crash land on his farm. Jody touches the fallen meteorite to bring it to the local university to get some money to pay off his bank loan. After touching the meteorite, Jody slowly turns into a giant weed. Before fully turning into a weed, Jody sits down and watches a wrestling match on …
This past Christmas I treated myself and got a subscription to Shudder the thriller and horror streaming service. Shudder has a lot of treats to offer horror fans including the hit series Creepshow and Joe Bob Briggs Last Drive-In just to name a few. The movies Shudder has to offer range from the supernatural to the slashers. One of the selling points in getting Shudder was the movie that I’m about to review called Nightmare Cinema. I’m a huge Mick Garris fan, and when I heard about this film while listening to his podcast Post Mortem, I couldn’t wait to check it out. Nightmare Cinema was the first film I watched on Shudder. The film is an anthology series that follows five strangers into an abandoned theater where they watch their deepest fears playout on the big screen. It was a treat to see Mickey Rourke playing the Projectionist who owns the twilight zone like theater and his different conversations with his victims Each story in the movie is directed by a well-known director in the realm of horror. These …
