Last July a series came to HBO and was an instant hit with fans. The show was one of the best on television in 2021, and were not the only ones saying that, as the show was a hit with critics too. The show we are talking about is The White Lotus. The White Lotus follows the exploits and misadventures of various guests and employees at a tropical resort over the course of one week. The show starred Connie Britton, Steve Zahn as a married couple. Also starring is Sydney Sweeney, Jennifer Coolidge, Molly Shannon, and Brittany O’Grady. the series was written and created by Mike White. A second season was recently announced Jennifer Coolidge will return from season one. HBO alum, Michael Imperioli who played Christopher in The Sopranos has been added to the cast, along with Aubrey Plaza. Imperioli will portray Dominic Di Grasso, a man traveling with his elderly father and recent college-graduate son. The first three episodes of Peacemaker are now streaming on HBO Max. The series has fans loving John Cena in the role of Peacemaker. The show is an off shoot from Gunn’s 2021’s movie, The Suicide Squad which see’s Peacemaker being one of the villain’s. And the show is the aftermath of what goes down with his character in that film. John Cena was born to play the role of Peacemaker, and if you thought of anyone else who could fill those boots, you would be hard pressed. Gunn’s ability to mix just the right music, emotion, and storyline onscreen makes him one of the most prominent storytellers of this generation. That is one of the reasons Gunn is able to work on projects for DC and Marvel at the same time, which is a feat fit for the characters he puts on screen so easily. If you love cuss words, 80s glam metal, John Cena, interesting background characters, and a great story, Peacemaker should be your thing. It has been roughly three years since we have heard any news regarding the “Alien” film saga from director Ridley Scott. However, it now appears that there could possibly be a new film in the works. The “Alien” franchise has been in a bit of a mess since the last release of “Alien: Covenant” did not perform as well as expected at the box office. Many fans were unhappy with the film and most feel that it did not live up to its’ counterpart “Alien: Prometheus”. It also doesn’t help matters that the franchise’s home studio FOX was acquired by Disney. Ridley Scott is currently promoting his new HBO Max series “Raised By Wolves”, as well as, getting ready to resume filming on his next film “The Last Duel” starring Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, and Adam Driver, but he says not to count out another “Alien” film.
