Hasbro Studios is Developing ‘My Little Pony’ Movie For 2017

MyLittlePony(PCM) Variety reported on Monday that an animated My Little Pony movie is in the works at Hasbro Studios, set to be released in 2017.

Along with fellow 80’s tv hit series Jem and the Holograms, My Little Pony is one of the first films to be produced through Hasbro’s new Allspark Pictures label.

Producing and financing the film in-house, Hasbro Studios is taking control of My Little Pony and has plans to release the film “on the broadest possible number of screens,” said Stephen Davis, president of Hasbro Studios and global entertainment and licensing for Hasbro Inc.

“We will continue to make big tentpole movies with our studio partners, [i.e. Transformers and G.I. ‘Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day’ Hits Theaters Oct. 10

“The Hero of Color City” Brings Color to Select Theaters Oct. 3!

Trailer For BatKid Documentary Has Been Released

(PCM) Award-winning film director, Dana Nachman, launched an Indiegogo campaign to finish the official Batkid documentary, “Batkid Begins”, a documentary about 5-year-old Miles Scott, a leukemia survivor who asked the Make-A-Wish Foundation to be transformed into Batkid for a day. The campaign was launched one week ago, and is now at 40% of its $100K goal. “Batkid Begins” goes behind the scenes chronicling the story of Miles Scott, a 5-year old in remission after spending half of his years fighting leukemia. Last November, with the support of family, strangers, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Miles was transformed into Batkid and called upon to save Gotham City (aka San Francisco) from impending doom. SpongeBob SquarePants Debuts New Look in “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water 3D”

SpongeBob1(PCM) Everyone’s favorite sponge has updated his look for Paramount Pictures’ new The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water 3D.

Very little is known about the film which doesn’t open in theaters until February 13, 2015.

All we know so far is that SpongeBob leaves the comfort of his pineapple under the sea to embark on a heroic journey above water – in our world.

According to USA Today, the film will follow SpongeBob as he leaves Bikini Bottom and comes on shore to transform into The Invincibubble to defeat the evil pirate that is threatening Bikini Bottom, voiced by Antonio Banderas.

SpongeBob is joined in his on shore adventure by Patrick Star as Mr. Superawesomeness, Mr. Krabs as Sir Pinch-a-lot, and Squidward Tentacles as Sour Note.
