Spongebob Squarepants creator, Stephen Hillenburg has died at the age of 57 years old. The network announced his death on Tuesday (Nov. 27th), following his battle with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. In March, Hillenburg announced that he had been diagnosed with the neurodegenerative disease as well. The network posted a statement reading:
