For what we can see in the trailer, “Sharknado 2: The Second One” is going to be just as outrageous as the original “Sharknado”!  Rejoice the in the campiness, which is so absurd, it is actually pretty good. “Sharknado 2: The Second One” is set to premiere on July 30th at 9:00pm (ET/PT) on Syfy and stars Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, Vivica A. WWE Put Together A Touching Tribute For Connor “The Crusher” Michalek

(PCM) WWE put together a truly touching tribute to honor the life of young fan who tragically lost his battle with cancer back in April. The young boys’ name was Connor Michalek and went by the wresting moniker “The Crusher”. Michalek was a huge fan of wrestler Daniel Bryan and got to meet him once when Bryan was a member of Team Hell No With Kane. The pair posed for pictures and Michalek was even able to get Bryan into a submission hold and force him to tap out. Michalek was able to attend WrestleMania XXX and sadly passed away only a few short weeks later. The WWE produced a tribute video that showcased Michalek’s time spent with the organization and ends with his trip to WrestleMania XXX and the moment he got to share with his favorite wrestler after Daniel Bryan won the World Heavyweight Championship title. Wil Wheaton Hosts New Comedy Series To Air On Syfy In May

(Syfy) Syfy has greenlit the 12-episode summer series, The Wil Wheaton Project (working title), a weekly topical comedy show hosted by actor, blogger and champion of geek culture Wil Wheaton. The 30-minute show will offer a fast-paced, lighthearted exploration and celebration of all things within the realm of science fiction and genre entertainment. The series premieres Tuesday, May 27 at 10PM ET/PT on Syfy. Each week, Wil provides his insider point-of-view, sense of humor and genre expertise as he dissects the week’s most popular and trending topics across science fiction film, television and pop culture, video games, viral videos and news. Wil is on his feet for the rapid-fire half hour, delivering witty commentary on the things he knows and loves in this golden age of sci-pop culture. The result is a fun appreciation and celebration of fandom and all things science fiction. “The Wil Wheaton Project has been incredibly fun to develop, and I can’t wait for my fellow geeks to see it,” said Wheaton. All-new summer episodes of Heroes of Cosplay also debut that night, airing at 9:00PM ET/PT on Syfy.
