Javicia Leslie Cast As The New ‘Batwoman’

After much speculation, it has been revealed that Warner Bros. Television, The CW, and Berlanti Productions have revealed that Javicia Leslie has been cast as the new Batwoman. Javicia will make her debut in the iconic cape and cowl when “Batwoman” returns to The CW for its second season in January 2021, airing Sundays at 8:00–9:00 pm ET/PT. With this casting news, it has also been revealed that Javicia will become the first Black actress to portray Batwoman in a live-action television or film production. Javicia Leslie had the following to say regarding the upcoming project, “I am extremely proud to be the first Black actress to play the iconic role of Batwoman on television, and as a bisexual woman, I am honored to join this groundbreaking show which has been such a trailblazer for the LGBTQ+ community.” What we know about Javicia’s role is that Ryan Wilder is about to become Batwoman. Netflix Cancels ‘Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina’

We are saddened that it has been revealed that Netflix has canceled “Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina” and the series will come to a conclusion with part 4. The final season will consist of only eight episodes. Netflix says that the final season will begin streaming sometime in late 2020 and promises as “spooky, sexy & supernatural series finale”. Part 4 will see The Eldritch Terrors descending their way on Greendale and the coven must fight each of the Terrors, including The Weird, The Returned, The Darkness, all before facing The Void, which is “the End of All Things.” As the witches wage their war with the help of The Fright Club, Nick will also try to slowly earn his way back into Sabrina’s heart before its too late. “Working on ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ has been an incredible honor from Day One. Ruby Rose Leaves The CW’s Series ‘Batwoman’

The news has just been revealed that actress Ruby Rose will be leaving The CW’s “Batwoman” series after only one season, forcing the network to recast the leading role for season two, as it has already been renewed by the network. In a statement, Ruby Rose says, “I have made the very difficult decision not to return to “Batwoman” next season. This was not a decision I made lightly as I have the utmost respect for the cast, crew, and everyone involved with the show in both Vancouver and in Los Angeles.” Other than her released statement both Ruby Rose and the show’s producers have not confirmed the exact reason for Rose’s early exit from the series after only one season, however, it is noted that a source claims that it is not due to the injury that Rose sustained during the filming of season one that nearly left her facing paralysis and needing emergency surgery as some may have suspected. Actor Logan Williams Of The Flash Dead At Age 16

It is with great sadness that we report that teen actor Logan Williams best known for his portrayal of a young Barry Allen, on The CW’s “The Flash” has passed away at the age of 16. The death of Williams was confirmed by the actors’ mother Marlyse Williams to the news in British Colombia in Canada and says that the family is “absolutely devastated” by his sudden passing. The young actors’ mother also stated that the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is making it incredibly difficult for the family to mourn as there are still worldwide restrictions on social distancing and public gatherings. “I am not able to hug my parents who lost their only grandchild,” Williams said. “It’s hard.” At this time Logan Williams’s immediate cause of death has yet to be revealed. Winners for the 45th annual Saturn Awards, honoring motion picture, television, home entertainment and live stage productions, were announced today at an exciting ceremony hosted by Aisha Tyler at the historic Avalon Theater in Hollywood and streamed across 8 online platforms. Cult Series ‘Dark Shadows’ May Be Getting A Reboot On The CW

Rumor has it that The CW and Warner Bros. Television are in the process of developing a new series based on the classic 60’s cult series “Dark Shadows”. There is no word on just how the new series will differ for the classic series which blended together elements of a soap opera and comedy. It is said that the pilot for the series will be written by Mark B. Perry (Revenge, Ghost Whisperer and Brothers & Sisters). A big fan of the original show, which he watched as a child when he came home from school, the showrunner has been after the adaptation rights for Dark Shadows for the last two years. First Images Of Riverdale Luke Perry Tribute Arrive

It is still absolutely heartbreaking to think about the tragic death of actor Luke Perry and fans of The CW series “Riverdale” were left wondering just how the series would tackle Perry’s passing as he portrayed lead character Archie Andrew’s father, Fred Andrews, in the series. ‘Riverdale’ Will Honor Luke Perry With Season Four Premiere With Shannen Doherty To Guest Star

Riverdale executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa announced at today’s Comic-Con 2019® panel that the season four premiere will feature a special tribute to Luke Perry. Perry’s longtime friend and former costar Shannen Doherty will guest star in a special role in the episode, which will air Wednesday, October 9, at 8/7c on The CW. Entitled “Chapter Fifty-Eight: In Memoriam,” the season premiere will reflect Luke Perry’s enduring legacy and the indelible imprint his character, Fred Andrews, had on Riverdale. The casting of Doherty continues her long association with Perry, which started in 1990 on Beverly Hills, 90210, and continued for nearly 30 years. Perry and Aguirre-Sacasa had long planned for Doherty to appear on Riverdale.
