Ruby Rose Leaves The CW’s Series ‘Batwoman’

The news has just been revealed that actress Ruby Rose will be leaving The CW’s “Batwoman” series after only one season, forcing the network to recast the leading role for season two, as it has already been renewed by the network. In a statement, Ruby Rose says, “I have made the very difficult decision not to return to “Batwoman” next season. This was not a decision I made lightly as I have the utmost respect for the cast, crew, and everyone involved with the show in both Vancouver and in Los Angeles.” Other than her released statement both Ruby Rose and the show’s producers have not confirmed the exact reason for Rose’s early exit from the series after only one season, however, it is noted that a source claims that it is not due to the injury that Rose sustained during the filming of season one that nearly left her facing paralysis and needing emergency surgery as some may have suspected. It is said that both Rose and the producers mutually decided to part ways after looking back on the …

Cult Series ‘Dark Shadows’ May Be Getting A Reboot On The CW

Rumor has it that The CW and Warner Bros. Television are in the process of developing a new series based on the classic 60’s cult series “Dark Shadows”. There is no word on just how the new series will differ for the classic series which blended together elements of a soap opera and comedy. It is said that the pilot for the series will be written by Mark B. Perry (Revenge, Ghost Whisperer and Brothers & Sisters). A big fan of the original show, which he watched as a child when he came home from school, the showrunner has been after the adaptation rights for Dark Shadows for the last two years. This latest version will be “a modern-day continuation of the strange, terrifying, and sexy saga of the Collins family of Collinsport, Maine — a mysterious, influential, publicity-shy group hiding a ghastly secret: for the past 400 years, they’ve lived under a curse that bedevils their blue blood with every imaginable supernatural creature and horror.” The new team intends to get back to the roots of the original series, …
