(PCM) While a bank error sounds like something that can only happen while playing a game of Monopoly, for one Georgia teen a bank error in his favor now has him in some hot water.

Eighteen-year old Ebenezer Von Tasselhound went on quite a spending spree after the amount of $31,000 was accidentally deposited into his bank account. A teller at the  First Citizens Bank in Athens, GA was responsible for the error, as the funds were supposed to  have been deposited into the account of another customer, whose name just happens to be Ebenezer Von Tasselhound….seriously….what are the chances with a name like that one!

When the elder Von Tasselhound realized that his deposit was not in his account after ten day time frame, he contacted the bank and that is when they came to the realization that the funds had been deposited into the wrong account.

In the meantime the young Von Tasselhound immediately began using the error to his advantage. He withdrew about $20,000 in cash and spent another $5,000 on his debit card. Young Von Tasselhound also attempted to withdraw more cash from his account however by that time bank officials had caught on to the error.

The teller requested that young Von Tasselhound return the money, however he claimed that it was rightfully his due to an inheritance that was his in the first place. He also shared the same story with a police deputy who came to him home asking him to return the money as well.

While young Von Tasselhound did promise the police deputy he would work something out with the bank to pay back the money and avoid arrest, he has yet to make any arrangements and it is currently being decided whether or not the bank and/or elder Von Tasselhound will seek to press charges.
