Avenged Sevenfold Set Fire To The SOLD OUT BB&T Pavilion

AVENGED SEVENFOLD made their way into Camden, NJ’s BB&T Pavilion on June 21st for their “free” show which was the rescheduled date for all of those who were World Wired Tour ticket holders from the Philadelphia Metallica show that Avenged could not perform at back in May due to guitarist, Synyster Gates welcoming his new son to the world and be with his wife as she gave birth. We’d like to say a huge congratulations to Synyster Gates and best of luck with your new son. Philadelphia filled the BB&T Pavilion beyond capacity as the box office gave out all remaining tickets at no cost as a courtesy, which made for a sold out show. M.Shadows joking at times throughout the night about the rescheduling of the show even saying halfway through their set “Goodnight everybody, Metallica’s up next, Oh wait, wrong show we get to keep playing.” continuing by saying “We play nine songs on the World Wired Tour so we would be off the stage by now,” Shadows continuing by stating “You gotta admit you had a great f–king time at that show, that tour has been incredible for us.”

The opening band was Everlit, a Philadelphia based band who won a contest to open up the show which was fan voted for on 93.3 WMMR’s website. The band put on a rockin’ set and got the crowd’s energy flowing for Avenged Sevenfold’s headline set which happened shortly after them as they were direct support with no openers before them.

Next up was the highly anticipated, Avenged Sevenfold’s return to Philadelphia/Camden, NJ! Fans were in for a treat at this show as it was a headliner instead of the 9 song set that they would have put on at the World Wired Tour in Philly with Metallica. This show fans were treated to a 17 song setlist blending their new album, The Stage with older material including songs from Waking the Fallen, City of Evil, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet, Self-Titled, and Nightmare. Avenged put on one of the most fierce, powerful shows I have seen from a band in awhile and fans loved every minute of it. Their production was visually intense with a beautiful lighting display, fog, lots of pyro, and a very theatrical filled video screen playing videos to perfectly match each song. Avenged’s sound was beyond flawless this night even with vocalist M.Shadows having a sore throat as he mentioned earlier in the evening, you would have never even known as his vocals were incredible. Shadows has very unique vocals that shine in each song and he was able to showcase that ability throughout their entire set. Along with his vocals is the beautiful melodic mix of instrumentals from Synyster Gates (Lead Guitar), Zacky Vengeance (Guitar), Johnny Christ (Bass), and Brooks Wackerman (Drums). This show was definitley a force to be reckoned with when it comes to live performances as it was extraordinary, something about the show just grasped my attention just as it did everyone else in attendances. I am continuously blown away by the performance Avenged Sevenfold puts on.

Avenged Sevenfold frontman M. Shadows mentioned that they will be coming back in January/February of 2018 so stay tuned for what I would think would be a very exciting tour announcement from the band soon enough! Make sure you get out to a show they are performing and see them as they are a band that puts on an incredible live show that you DO NOT want to miss out on!
