Brett Eldredge, Chris Janson, Michael Ray, Devin Dawson, and Ben Rue brought BIG 98 Accu-Chek Guide Guitar-B-Que for St.Jude on Bobby Bones Show, the event was held lastnight (August 23rd) at Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville, TN – Proceeds of the show benefitted St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Launching the evening was Silverton, OR native Ben Rue, an up and coming country artist who was fortunate enough to be apart of the first season of X-Factor making it into the top 80 but unfortunately not becoming the winner of X-Factor which confuses many as his talent shined brightly this night in Nashville as he continues to pursue his dreams. His set was very energy filled, performing mostly his original music like his single “Back To The Nights,” but his cover really stood out to us as he covered Gavin DeGraw’s “I Don’t Want To Be” flawlessly.
Michael Ray exploding onto the stage with a set that included his hit singles like “Think A Little Less,” “Real Men Love Jesus,” and “Kiss You In The Morning” as well as his latest smash No. 1 single “Get To You” and fans loved every single minute of his set. Sacramento, CA’s own Devin Dawson taking over the stage next at the Guitar-B-Que in Nashville, performing his smash hit single “All On Me” which the crowd seemed to know every word to. This show was just a taste of what is to come from Devin Dawson and Michael Ray as they announced a tour together earlier that day. Next was Perryville, MO native, Chris Janson who just got to Ascend Amphitheater from his earlier set at ACM Honors where as he wrote on social media he “performed at the ACM Honors, Chilled with George Strait, performed Ascend Amphitheater for St Jude, humbled, happy & Grateful.” Janson’s set was nothing short of an incredible enthusiastic set full of songs which topped Billboard charts at some point. Even allowing his songwriting talent to show by performing songs he has written for other artists such as cowriting on Locash’s No. 1 single “I Love This Life,” and Tim McGraw’s “Truck Yeah” which he cowrite with the guys in Locash. Janson got the crowd really screaming along to the lyrics when he performed his latest smash single “Fix You Drink.”
Brett Eldredge bursting onto the stage very energetically after a brief superhero video introduction as he exploded into his single “Superhero” very energetically as he always does proving that performing is definitley something he’s good at as well as writing hit singles that will conquer country radio, not to mention his latest self-titled third album is currently smashing Billboard charts. Eldredge’s self-titled third album is the No. 1 country album this week (week of August 15th). The Illinois native also scored the highest all-genre chart position of his career, landing at No. 2 on the Billboard Top 200, behind Kendrick Lamar’s LP Damn. Although the ACM Honors were also this evening over at The Ryman (also in Nashville) and what should have been a sold out packed show was not but it was very close to being sold out and that did not stop Eldredge from delivering a blistering set full of hits. Eldredge who is known for his very likable personality and his incredibly strong and powerful vocals. However, it doesn’t go unnoticed what a solid performer he is, not to mention his flawless stage presence is profound. Interacting with fans and singing directly to them while giving all of his energy throughout his over an hour set.
