200 Million Year Old Dinosaur Hatches At A Berlin Museum?

Dinosaur-Egg1(PCM) This is definitely an interesting story and I am currently still trying to discover it’s validity, as I am only seeing it reported in few places thus far. I have checked it out on Snopes and it does not seem to be debunked yet.

If this news it true, it will open new doors to incredible research for scientists all across the world who will finally be able to study a living dinosaur specimen.

According to WorldNewsDailyReport.com, a malfunction in the heating system at the Natural History Museum in Berlin, Germany caused an over 200 million year old Gasosaurus dinosaur egg that was in storage by the boiler room to begin the incubation process and actually hatch.  According to sources the Gasosaurus is 41 centimeters tall with a weight of 11 kilograms.

If this is to be believed, than it will mark the first time that a dinosaur has seen the light of day in over 100 million years. Gunther Warburg a paleobiologist at the museum claims that “This is an incredible for science” and goes on to say that “The Gasosaurus is classified as a carnivorous tetanuran dinosaur of the therapod family originating from China. It remained a mystery because all we had to study upon were a few remains. But now we have a live one! I feel like I’m in Jurassic Park the movie!”

It is rumored that the dinosaur specimen has been transferred to the Berlin Zoo for further evaluation and study in a secured environment. Other than this, few facts have been made public knowledge.

I really want to believe this is true, but somehow still seems a little far-fetched! Guess we will have to wait and see, as more information becomes available.
