Trucks hauling gear for Metallica’s current tour were reportedly involved in a major accident on Tuesday (August 8). The trucks were in route to Stade Olympique in Montreal, Quebec in Canada from East Rutherford, New Jersey in the United States. Metallica are slated to perform at the stadium tomorrow, August 11 and Sunday, August 13.

There were reportedly were no injuries, according to a social media post by John Kish (see below). It is unclear how much damage was inflicted on the bands equipment. On a Facebook post by Canadian rock music pundit Mitch Lafon, Mat Paré – who appears to working on the local crew for the shows at Stade Olympique – replied to the post with a photo Thursday of Metallica’s fully assembled production with a caption stating, “Some brackets for moving lights were destroyed, they rented follow spots from Solotech, everything is up and ready.”

A video of the accident with the alleged Metallica tour trucks was posted to TikTok on Tuesday. In the comments, multiple people said that the crash happened on I-87 just north of Lake George, New York. Metallica kicked off the North American leg of their M72 World Tour at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, US last weekend.

The truck carring the band equipment for Metallica was involved in a pretty bad crash yesterday. Thankfully nobody involved was hurt. One of the worst crashes I’ve seen! #crash #metallica #interstate #newyork #omg #godisgood #angelwatchingover #viral #trucks #upstatenewyork #accident
