(PCM) SYFY brought the hit show Wynonna Earp to San Diego Comic Con. The show debuted on April 1st, 2016 and has gained a cult like following. The show even has its own conventions called Earpapalooza. The show is entering it’s third season and is based off the comic book series by Melanie Scrofano.
Wynonna Earp follows the great-great grand- daughter of lawman Wyatt Earp. Wynonna battles revenants reincarnated bad guys that Wyatt killed. She also fights other evil creatures who haunt the Ghost River Triangle, a cursed land near the Canadian Rockies that include Purgatory, Wynonna’s hometown. On her 27th birthday she inherits the special power to return revenants to hell using her ancestors 16-inch barrel special “Peacemaker” revolver. Wynonna is recruited by the (BBD), a secret government agency which is led by Special Agent Xavier Dolls. The agency eventually also gets help from Doc Holiday, and Wynonna’s sister, Waverly Earp. The Earp sisters are joined by Nicole Haught, Waverly’s girlfriend and a Purgatory Sheriff’s Deputy, assists the team taking on the police roll.
