The doll was created by 26-year old Nickolay Lamm who launched a crowd-funding campaign last March to bring his vision of the “anti-Barbie” into production. The Lammily doll has hips, thighs, and a backside that are proportioned to appear like an average 19-year old woman.
Lamm came up for the idea for the doll in hopes that it would urge people to forget about their bodies in general and focus more on what they can do rather than what they look like.… Full Story

(PCM) Australian actor 31-year old Chris Hemsworth has just been named People Magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” for 2014.
The actor who is best known for his role as “Thor” in the “Avengers” film franchise is featured on the magazines cover which will hit newsstands this Friday.
After learning about the honor, Hemsworth told People “I think you’ve bought me a couple of weeks of bragging rights around the house. The ad campaign is for Victoria’s Secrets new bra collection which is called “Body”.and features the company’s incredibly thin models in bras and panties with the words “Perfect Body” splayed out across their bare midriffs.
Many individuals became outraged over the ads and what society feels is the standard for the “perfect body”. They feel that the ad showcases an incredibly damaging message to young women. (PCM) The internet was buzzing after photos of actress Renee Zellweger on the red carpet at the 2014 Elle Women In Hollywood Awards surfaced. What was so shocking was the fact that Zellweger was completely and totally unrecognizable, literally looking like a complete different person.
Hundreds of comments on her appearance began popping up all over social media with many criticizing the actress for going under the knife for plastic surgery procedures that completely altered her entire appearance. Many felt that she literally came out of it with a completely new face.

(PCM) Sam’s Club stores have announced a voluntary recall of its’ Simply Right baby wipes saying that there is a potential possibility that they could be contaminated. Please note that it is not a full on FDA recall on the product.
The company sent out an email to its’ customers that may have purchased the baby wipes which read:
“You are receiving this message because Sam’s Club’s records indicate that you recently purchased Simply Right baby wipes.
The safety of our members and their families is a top priority at Sam’s Club. Our supplier, Nutek Disposables, Inc., has advised us that some Simply Right branded baby wipes offered for sale at Sam’s Clubs beginning June 30th of this year may be contaminated with B.… Full Story

(PCM) At least according to the editorial board of a college newspaper in Oklahoma, who recently made the claim that bras are racist because they happen to come in colors called “nude”. The newspaper went on to say that since non-white people’s skin isn’t that particular color when they are nude, then of course the bras must be racist.
Some of the questions asked by the staff published editorial in the Oklahoma Daily were “How would it make you feel that the fashion industry and society at large has based its ideal of nude on Caucasian people? That the color of your skin doesn’t count as ‘nude’?”
The editorial also went on to use the same logic to explain that “nude” make-up, “flesh-colored clothing, and Band-Aids were also racist products.… Full Story

(PCM) British make-up artist and former model Bethany Townsend is making headlines after she posted an image of herself in a bikini laying out with her colostomy bags in full view.
Townsend has been suffering from Crohn’s Disease since the age of three, but was not officially diagnosed until the age of 11. Because of her misdiagnosis, she was forced to have 16 inches of her bowl removed at a young age and has been on steroids, infliximab, methotrexate and every other drug going as well as being tube fed for 4 years.
After five additional surgeries, Townsends’ bowl burst four years ago and she ended up with two colostomy bags.… Full Story
